Is an elk a moose? I know them as two different animals.
From Oxford English dictionary;
Moose = N.American animal closely allied to or same as European Elk.

thanx 4 the teaser!
Boring
Boring? froma dancing softball player.....wow it must have been
A moose in N. America is a completely different species than an elk.
Sorry I, #1 cute 2-6 boring
It was a good try, but it was too much of a stretch, no matter what the dictionary says.
Moose and Elk in are not related. And some of these teasers were a little bizzare.
On #4, how about
Lem
Moo Moo
=
Lem on Moos

See, I got it on Cherries Jubilee. I immediately thought of a Cherry Royal ice cream and cake thing my grandmother used to make.
The only reason I got the elk/moose thing is because I'm an American that grew up in England and know both languages really well.

Enjoyed this one a lot. I didn't get them all, but some, and that makes me happy. Thanks for posting.
Oh Boo on all you all, always so negative, this puzzle was fine, I got most of them. Nice teaser!!
nice one mrixolite, wish it were time for dessert , but what is a trifle? or did you mean truffle?
I don't get #1 at all. Please explain the mrIxolite phrase. Does it mean something?
Good one! I didn't get them all, but it was fun. Thanks!
Loved these! But shouldn't the plural of rebus be rebi?
I got some of them, but not all. Vety good one, thanks.
Don't listen to the mean comments. You did a VERY good job on this great teaser.
The people going on about the difference between elk and moose are so dang particular. Who cares!

I agree with the above comment 100%
The Jubilee anniversary you are indicating is for the 50th anniv., not the 25th
Tahogiles, Mrixolite is the name of the creator of the teaser. So if is talking, he says "I scream".
Sorry. Not the best teaser. For #1, "Ahhh!" would have been okay but "MrIxolite" just confuzzles everyone.
I liked #1 but I agree, people who don't know you would not think to look at the author. =/
At least look at the author.....
Nice teaser, got a few of them but not the desserts I haven't heard of xD

Yeah, I got a couple, but it was not the best teaser. Too many questionable things in it. Sorry!
I like desserts. Wait, who doesn't?
But my favorite dessert is my best friend's mom's cheesecake.
That, is quality cheesecake. The best ever! Sadly, my friend's mom hardly has time to make it, but when she does, she makes sure that she makes a little extra and lets me have a little. So nice!
Cheesecake. Yum!

I only got 1. I haven't even heard of some of those desserts!
I loved this teaser. I thought it was very clever. I missed Trifle - and now that I see the answer, I think I should have gotten it - I didn't work on it long enough! Thanks for a good one! Banana split was the easiest but Cherries Jubilee was the best!
HA HA Oh NOW I get the first one! I hadn't noticed who created this puzzle! Thank you, MrIxolite. I MUST be more observant from now on!
After reading all the comments, I have to agree with the person named doehead above.
I got banana split most easily, and then strawberry shortcake. Was not familiar with trifle or lemon mousse, so would never have gotten there. As for your jubilee, it is not being picky to point out the number of years was totally wrong, a bad mis-lead. I couldn't think of a dessert with the word SILVER in it!!! Eclairs was cute (and delicious!) but I had given up by then.
Happy New Year, everyone!
Happy New Year, everyone!
I got most of them, but tripped on a couple.
BTW elk and moose are related, along with deer and reindeer, they belong to the Cervidae family.

This was really hard, and just an observation: seems like this was the teaser of the day exactly two years ago. Happy new year to all
Nice teaser on the whole. A few comments on spelling, grammar, layout and others' comments:
The plural of rebus is rebuses - not rebus's; you NEVER use an 's to denote a plural.
#1 would, I think, look better written as MrIxolite: "Aaarrgghh!", just to indicate that the author is speaking (or screaming).
#3 (@wordmama & clgrfr) The actual number of years (whether 25, 50 or whatever) is irrelevant, but a number is necessary to make one think of some sort of Jubilee. There is nothing wrong with the choice of 25, imo.
#7 The correct spelling is éclair (no final e), so the clue should read: Clair's on the internet. That said, it's ay-clair, not ee-clair, so the clue is not technically correct, but I think everyone knew what you meant.

Funny and fun, I missed a few, but it was still fun.
What great stuff !!!!!!!!
A rebus-loaded language teaser.
Braingle's "finest hour".
and NO comments .....
(it's 40a USA/CST)) and there are THREE brainglers signed on.
We (Dad, Bro, and I) really like(d) the rebus stuff so we tend to get overly enthusiastic about them.
Oh .... last posted teaser (50486 - "words with LF") - still has only 1 comment.

(don't really know why I'm laughing so hard .... should be crying ... !!!)

Got me on trifle too, not commonly heard in USA. We think of trifle as something unimportant. Then again that's what makes it a teaser!
Once again, I find myself ready to boycott the comment section, as long as the comments regarding the lack of comments continue.
It would appear that I am not the only one as several daily com enters have not made a peep in says.

I got 1,2,&6 right away. Had to look up the answers for the others. Not really familiar with Cherries Jubulee or Trifles (After I saw the answer, I did look up pictures of this on google to see what it was - they look delicious!!) Also, I didn't connect Moose with Elk. I still think it was a fun quiz!! Thank you for submitting!
Well, I got one found this fun. I got them all except the last one. I came up with lady's fingers. Thinking of Claire typing. Keep up the good work MrI.! Happy New Year!
Fun and entertaining teaser; I got 6 out of 7. Although I never commented before on this teaser, I tried it several times before. I always miss the first one. Basing usage of the Braingle site on the amount of comments posted is not a very good way to evaluate since not everyone posts comments. I have only been posting comments for the last five years although I have been playing Braingle trivia and teasers for over ten years.
