Had the second word wrong. Oh, well. Good one. Lots of fun
That was fun doing! Although for elta, I got late instead of teal.
That was interesting. I thought the second one was tale though... bleh... nice teaser
Yes I know, I kept trying to find words that wouldn't make other words, but ELTA got through somehow... maybe I did that one in my dreams! Anyhow, glad you guys had fun!
That was tricky. I thought the 2nd wore was "late" Good one!
I ment word my typing's the pits!
I misread the directions and TOTALLY BLEW IT!
It's a good one, though. My brain just failed me ...

lol i've been going thru these since the teaser of the day came up today... and so i just started on the gemstone series... i love it! lol, and amethyst is my birthstone, so i knew to look for that! yippee! great teasers!
I thought ELTA was supposed to unscramble into TALE or LATE, but as I was able to get all the other letters, I reached the answer anyways.
Great teaser Brainster! I enjoyed doing it as it was really fun!

I love your Gemstrone Series, Brainster. Great teaser.
Yes, the second word was a bit ambiguous and I got LATE. I got the right answer but couldn't figure out where the A would come from!
Very fun teaser! I also got late/tale on 2nd word, but, as demo4, could figure out the others and do not believe this is an impediment to the teaser -just makes it more interesting! Will try the other jewels, too!
Good one!!
I got hung up on 2nd word along with everyone else but managed to come up with correct answer. Good teaser, Brainster.
Took me a while to recognize the clue in the title.
One thing to remember when making a jumble or word scramble is that THERE SHOULD BE ONLY ONE WAY TO UNSCRAMBLE THE CLUES. Nice try, but we'll blame this one on the puzzle author.
I also got something else for #2 and I just couldn't see rhyme for some reason. Great, fun teaser!
Easy
got the answer right but I got tale instead of teal and could`nt for the life of me get strum Lol still I came to the right answer anyway!!
What a FUN teaser! Glad to see it as a daily! Keep them coming Brainster!
I so agree with xxzzxxzz, there should only be ONE way to unscramble the word. Not 3.
Dang! I had all but #2 right. I said Tale instead of Teal!!! Bummer! Fun Teaser!
Wasn't sure about the second one, but got the answer after seeing the title.
#3 could also be STURM, as in Sturm und Drang. I knew it was Amethyst, but did not get teal either. Too many possible words for this to be a good teaser.
This was a great teaser, just enough ambiguity to make it a bit tricky
totally fun. I missed the clue in the title, and got #2 as tale, so never got the right answer. Thanks though!!
It was funny trying, but also got late for the second one. It was a hard answer I would have never thought of amethyst. Thanks for posting. It was a learning experience. Keep 'em coming.
Monday~
Monday~
Easy. I realized you could make Late, Teal, and Tale out of the second word. But with the other letters, amethyst was easy to come up with.
Fun puzzle!
I agree with Tommys mo , once you got the rest of the letters it had to be teal to make a jem. A jem of a puzzle, and I have often run into jumbles with more than one answer, it keeps you on your toes.
Good Jumble! Had a lot of fun
doing it. I had Tale but when I saw
the letters for the answer I new
it had to be Teal to make up your
gemstone word. Amethyst.
Thanks Good One!!!

Well drat! I feel stupid...got LATE and never looked further...and never got the answer. Will blame it on being Monday
Hey, Amythest (sp?) is my birthstone! Lol, I can't even spell my own birthstone. But this is a pretty cool teaser anyway!
Little too late!!
kind of fun, but this one is not foolproof. there are more than one answer to the second one (late, tale, teal) which can throw off the answer to the riddle.
great teaser... it took me longer to unscramble the final answer than it did for me to unscramble the clue words (i assumed teal the first time... didnt even realize there were two other possible answers)... fun and envigorating
Thanks for all the comments everyone! Just realized that I had the TOTD on my birthday! Woo Hoo!
Nice one! The multiple options for word #2 just made it a little more challenging.
Fun...I love these! I guessed the gem when I saw the "y" but still had fun figuring out the scrambled words. Thanks for posting!
yup, good one! struggled with the collected letters until i read the title again! there is was!
Bad teaser. Sorry. Considering the second word had multiple answers - two of which would give you T and L as the letters from that word - this teaser doesn't work.
No fair on #2. I got both late and tale, but knew it looked like amethyst so said it and gave up on trying to make another word for#2 Boo Hiss!
#2 has 2 alternate answers that make the final set of letters incorrect. Especially when you consider how INCREDIBLY easy it is to make a jumble puzzle, I think it should at the very least be expected that enough thought is put in to make sure that you are using only single-word letter-sets.
The second set of letters, ELTA, has three possible anagrams, TALE, LATE, and TEAL,
The second set of letters, ELTA, has three possible anagrams, TALE, LATE, and TEAL, only one of which, TEal, gives you the letters iith which, along with the specfied letters from the other solved jumbles, gives you the letters with which to spell AMETHYST. Allthough I was able to solve the puzzle, I deem it to have been poorly thought out since, ideally, a letter jumble should have only one solution, and ELTA
(continuing my comment) has three.
I, too, came up with either tale or late but since either word would have worked I chose tale. Never even thought of teal (which happens to be one of my favorite colors). But I still figured out amethyst (one of my favorite gemstones, too.) Nice teaser, fun but not too easy.
Unless, of course, brainster DELIBERATELY chose an anagram with three solutions to make the teaser trickier. If so, kudos, brainster.
I would've gotten it if I hadn't spelled "LATE" for the second word.
That was great; used process of elimination for no. 2( it was just what the puzzle needed to add a bit of a challenge ), much too easy otherwise!
Thanks for posting!
Thanks for posting!
Fun, easy and entertaining teaser. I worked this one in my head and got amethyst right away after I went thru the words. I went back and made sure each word worked to get the solution. There were three possible words that could be made from #2 so I kept going until I found a word that would work to get the answer ("TEAL").
Got the clues, but not the answer.
Tricky and fun! I also went down the "late" rabbit hole, but realized I needed more vowels! Unscrambing the letters to get a gemstone was also a challenge. I liked the trivia included in the answer. Nicely done!
