May 19, 2008

Interesting but on the easy side.
May 19, 2008

Fun & easy. Good for a Monday morning
May 19, 2008

There are so many other words that could be mixed in there including: personal and person. fun teaser though.
May 19, 2008

Good teaser. I thought of other words that would fit as well. Thanks for posting.
May 19, 2008

That was fun. I ended up with two left over, but I almost got all of them! Thanks!
May 19, 2008

Fun, and fairly easy, except what to do with the leftover letters.

That was really fun. I used per son al for a 3-syllable word instead of per se cute. Then could not make a 5-syllable word out of what was left. Good teaser. Thanks
May 19, 2008

I did the same thing as smartymath. Also, I didn't copy the syllables on paper and cross out the ones I used. I'll do that next time.
May 19, 2008

Whoops! I mean smartymarty. Sorry!
May 20, 2008

I did not take the time to write down the syllables. I simply clicked "forward", had an editable duplicate of the puzzle, and deleted the syllables as I used them.
Jun 22, 2008

I did the same as smartymarty too!
Great teaser though

I gave it tops rating for Fun.

Thanks for the posting.

May 19, 2014

simple, but fun!

Catmom, this is the 4th in a series and as the author of the series has not been on the site in over 6 months, it is unlikely the will be submitting any more.
However, if you search the teasers for this type of puzzle, there are 20+

HABS ....

We COULD speculate that cdrock left the site because he - although submitting superior puzzles - wasn't getting any action (comments & votes) because of the "cruisers" & "lookers".

Just a guess, though. But I have some personal experience to back it up.

When my Dad (original BadBunnee) and I were initially on the site we had two very good "Braingle Buds" who left for that very reason.

And I, myself, have been off-on for a couple of "extended" absences.

Lots of reasons - for the decline in action here - but NOTHING (historically) to match the recent paucity.

So ... give catmom her due ... maybe cdrock will read it and decide to visit again.

It's certainly worth the effort.

Loved this one! I didn't get the last 5 syllable word, because I had already used "al" in personal. BB, learned a new word from you and had to look it up - "paucity" - thanks, I appreciate that! Hope we get more puzzles like this one!
May 19, 2014

Yeah, "personality" is a difficult one. You have to be able to scratch out "person" and "personal" and try those again. A hint would have helped some of us, such as saying the five-syllable word has begins with a legitimate two- and also a three-syllable word, neither of which are in the list.
May 19, 2017

I guess I am the only dumb one on this one. I did not understand what we were supposed to do, so did not do anything. Glad everyone else enjoyed it, and I enjoyed all the comments.
May 19, 2017

Not a fan at all. Not only do you re-use the syllable's listed, but there's nothing telling you what type of word you are to create. No fun.
May 19, 2017

I enjoyed this fun and easy teaser and I got all 8 "Per" words using each syllable once.
