I only got two of these. I found the clues very hard and many words could be used for some. I do not understand the word "frank" being unmistakably evident. Honest, truthful , blunt, outspoken, all describe frank to me. Not my favorite teaser by far. Thanks anyhow for posting and giving me something to do.
Babe, think of turns of phrase such as, "It was a frank error", or "He told a frank lie", in which the word "frank" does mean "obvious" or "evident".
I'm w/Babe on the word frank. Got all but that one.
Babe, I agree with you that the clue was misleading. Webster's dictionary lists "unmistakably evident" as a secondary meaning for the word "frank", but it is definitely not the first meaning that comes to mind.
I do agree about the "frank" one, but overall, the teaser was great!
That was fun, thanks!
Managed to solve all, but agree with Babe about: frank?

Fun and entertaining teaser. I got 3 out of 4 and also missed "frank" and "rank".
