Brain Teasers
Over and Under
Group
These brain teasers rely on your ability to recognize groups of common attributes. For each of these puzzles you'll need to figure out why the words or letters are grouped as they are. Sometimes you will be asked to pick the odd-one-out or to place a new word into the correct group.Group
Carl the typesetter has a problem. He has been given the simple task of printing twenty words and a line. Ten of the words are to be printed OVER the line and the other ten words are to be printed UNDER the line. The problem is that Carl has mixed the words together, and can't remember which words go where. He does remember that each group of ten words shares a property that relates to its position. Please help Carl sort the words properly - either OVER or UNDER the line - before his editor gets back from lunch.

Excellent teaser! It made me think!
Very well written and a good challenge! Brainglers must be very clever to be awarding this a lot of "Easy" votes. Or maybe it's just me who found it a bit tough??? Anyway, I enjoyed it; thanks!
I agree! This deserves a higher difficulty rating. I had fun struggling with this until it defeated me.
I will say, Superfine and Supermom? In the words of Syndrome: "Everyone can be super! And when everyone's super... Mwahahahaha!.... no one will be."

I had no idea where to even start on this one. It made no sense to me. Sorry!
I agree with you, Babe, on this one. I had no idea what the connection was. Guess I wasn't up to the challenge this morning!
Well, to my soft brain the setup was poop. did not understand what to do even WITH clue
I have to come to Tilley's defense here. This was a pretty standard "group" teaser. Break words into two groups based on common properties. A big hint was given that one group relates to OVER and the other to UNDER. The task was pretty clear.
Still, it was tough. That makes it a very good teaser in my opinion.

Thank you, Snowdog
Kewl! (You responded to my first one, so I will too!) Nice job on your first teaser!
I see you have commented on my teaser that was released today. Of the teasers that I have posted, which one is your fave?
