If "yet" is the dogs name than as a proper noun it should be capitalized (i.e. Yet the dog). This one is better when spoken, but still very good as it is.
thanks electronjon, you are right. i noticed that too, but I thought that if I capitalized it, it would make it alot easier for the teaser to be figured out. I'm new here, and this is my first teaser being submitted, so i'll have to learn someday...
in addition to that comment, i think that i should have put a hint that says that there is a ghramalatical error i this teaser. its too late now, but i just reallized that i could have done that... duh!
i was thinking were, because "A man and his dog, Were, going to the park." But then it would sound very odd. Good job!
thanks speedy G (note all of these Gs) 8^)
If you had hinted that there was an error in the teaser it could mean that the question mark should not be there. In that case the dog's name could be What. My dog's name is Stay. "Come, Stay. Come, Stay! Come here, Stay!" Hahaha. Maybe I shouldn't have had that last beer. Apologies to Steven Wright.
hey, skellum, if the question mark wasn't there, then obviously there wuldn't be a question. THAT WOULD MEAN THAT THIS ISN'T REALLY THE BRAIN TEASER THAT IT IS SOPPOSED TO BE! how could you take away the question mark? what would you end up with?
A good teaser, though it works better when spoken.
I agree with you queenlila. I think it is better when it is spoken. Very good teaser though.
i didn't get that- but i agree with queenlila

kimda stupid!
The man walked. Yet the dog walked. (make the line it's own sentence and you capitilize the word yet for the proper noun)
OK, Jake21, be nice...anway, good teaser! I agree with all those people who said that it was better when said alloud.
i think it should read (to be grammatically correct):
... yet, the dog, ... (there arent any commas)
... yet, the dog, ... (there arent any commas)
It was really good. I would have never guessed it.

I was thinking that if the Dog's name was Yet is shoul go like this. The man rode Yet,the dog, walked. The commas mean something but I forgot because literacy is tree hours at our school and I loose my consitration easily.
Gmoney, personally I think you have a great teaser here. I got it despite the trickery. The very nature of the trick category I think gives you a little creative license. Good one. Cheers, D^2

never heard of a dog named "Yet"...
i agree with jonnyonline and whoever else said it. If the dog's name is "yet" (apart from the capitalisation issue), there needs to be a comma after his name, otherwise "yet" means "however" (or similar). good try though
I didn't get it....
My final guess was Fido, just to give up, 'cause I couldn't get the answer...
Anyways, nice teaser

My answer: The dog's name is Spot. There is nothing in the statement of the teaser to contradict this. Hence, my answer is just as valid.
i said Clifford
I agree with electronjohn, it should be capitalized or spoken.
You know, this should be impossible, since you had bad grammer, but still! Good job!
