The correction on that quiz has been made.

Not for certain, no. Though if you have an issue with a request, you can certainly ask here, and hopefully, the QM will recall their words and idenfify themselves. If you found a comment to be rude, you are also able to report it.

No, it hasn't. The lungfish question is still there.
Never mind.

I made a correction a quiz. The explanation for one question stated that the lungfish was the only animal on Earth with both lungs and gills. I stated that the axolotl also has both features. This is the response I got back:

The axolotl is not a fish. As you say yourself, it is a salamander, making it an amphibian.

The explanation says "the only creatures on Earth". So what if the axolotl isn't a fish? It lives on Earth, right?

Please explain!!!

I'm assuming the quiz is about fish. If so, consider making the correction again and asking them to change "creatures" to "fish". That might help.

Your proposed correction cited it as a "wrong answer", your reason did not point out the explanation, it only mentioned that this creature also has lungs and gills. The question you are correcting says: "This fish has both lungs and gills, enabling it to breathe both under and above water." Your correction seemed to indicate that the answer of "lungfish" was wrong, which it is not. I see now that you intended the correction for the explanation, not the question. In the future, please specify which area you are correcting, for example:

"In the explanation: lungfish are not the only animals with lungs and gills. The axolotl also has both. Confirm (citation website)."

The more info you can squeeze into that text box, the better the QMs can gauge how to remedy the issue, if any.

Thanks a ton, but the correction still hasn't been made! The lungfish question is still there!

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. Your correction was valid, just misread. I attributed it to the question, not the explanation. If you wish to protest the rejection, I think it would be overturned.

I was referring to when you said that the correction on that quiz was made. The lungfish question is still there, but you said the correction was made!

Your ORIGINAL correction on that question was in regards to the fact that the lungfish lives in freshwater, while the quiz was about sea creatures, that issue has been resolved. I'm sorry to be vague, but that's as much as I feel I can say.

That's the correction! But I fear the question is still there!

I've discovered some changes I'd like to make, and trivia I'd like to add, to my Cary Grant quiz.

Is this possible, please? Returned it too soon.

thanks.

Yes, it can be returned for changes to be made. However, keep in mind that a quiz has to be correction free on the third submit or it will be rejected since it cannot be returned again.

Quiz was returned to me earlier today, and hopefully I've resubmitted correctly, and all is resolved.

Thanks for the reply.

Cheers!

I have compared the QM's comment in #4 of my 'sticky ends' quiz with my own. They seem to be identical. Has the QM made a mistake in the comment? Thanks.

Hi JQPublic, please post the comments here, or send a private message if you prefer. Once we've reviewed a quiz, we can't see the comments anymore. You could also paste them in a text editor that doesn't wrap the lines, that makes it easier to compare them.

I accidentally clicked the "Report Abuse" button on a harmless trivia quiz comment! Can this be averted?
