Well today, February 24th, 2016, is the birthday of Braingle's top scorer at 130708. He has been a member of Braingle since June 18,2003. He hails from Rockford, Illinois. His nickname is fishmed and his by line is 'I hope you like my teasers. Thanks for stopping by.' Fishmed is owner of the Writer's Block talkbox. He is very good at it and seems to personally enjoy puns. So in honor of his birthday I am changing up the way of celebrating for him. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BRANGLE'S PUNSTER. Hope it is a full lit cake with family, friends and other loved ones.

PROCEEDING WITH THE PUNS. Yes I know there are a few, but it isn't every day our top scorer has a birthday.

A guy goes to a psychiatrist. "Doc, I keep having these alternating, recurring dreams. First I'm a teepee; then I'm a wigwam; then I'm a teepee; then I'm a wigwam. It's driving me crazy. What's wrong with me?" The doctor replies: "It's very simple. You're two tents."

Two vultures get ready to board an airplane, each carrying two dead raccoons. The stewardess looks at them and says, "I'm sorry, gentlemen, only one carrion allowed per passenger."

Two boll weevils grew up in South Carolina. One went to Hollywood and became a famous actor. The other stayed behind in the cotton fields and never amounted to much. The second one, naturally, became known as the lesser of two weevils.

A three-legged dog walks into a saloon in the Old West. He slides up to the bar and announces: "I'm looking for the man who shot my paw."

This guy goes into a restaurant for a Christmas breakfast while in his home town for the holidays. After looking over the menu he says, "I'll just have the Eggs Benedict." His order comes a while later and it's served on a big, shiny hubcap. He asks the waiter, "What's with the hubcap?" The waiter sings, "There's no plate like chrome for the hollandaise!"

A group of chess enthusiasts checked into a hotel and were standing in the lobby discussing their recent tournament victories. After about an hour, the manager came out of the office and asked them to disperse. "But why?," they asked, as they moved off. "Because," he said, "I can't stand chess nuts boasting in an open foyer."

A doctor made it his regular habit to stop off at a bar for a hazelnut daiquiri on his way home. The bartender knew of his habit, and would always have the drink waiting at precisely 53 p.m. One afternoon, as the end of the work day approached, the bartender was dismayed to find that he was out of hazelnut extract. Thinking quickly, he threw together a daiquiri made with hickory nuts and set it on the bar. The doctor came in at his regular time, took one sip of the drink and exclaimed, "This isn't a hazelnut daiquiri!" "No, I'm sorry," replied the bartender, "it's a hickory daiquiri, Doc."

These friars were behind on their belfry payments, so they opened up a small florist shop to raise funds. Since everyone liked to buy flowers from the men of God, a rival florist across town thought the competition was unfair. He asked the good fathers to close down, but they would not. He went back and begged the friars to close. They ignored him. So, the rival florist hired Hugh MacTaggart, the roughest and most vicious thug in town to "persuade" them to close. Hugh beat up the friars and trashed their store, saying he'd be back if they didn't close up shop. Terrified, they did so, thereby proving that Hugh, and only Hugh, can prevent florist friars.

Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him .... A super callused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

A hungry lion was roaming through the jungle looking for something to eat. He came across two men. One was sitting under a tree and reading a book; the other was typing away on his typewriter. The lion quickly pounced on the man reading the book and devoured him. Even the king of the jungle knows that readers digest and writers cramp.

Following last week's news that Origami Bank had folded, we are hearing that Sumo Bank has gone belly up and Bonsai Bank plans to cut back some of its branches. Karaoke Bank is up for sale and is (you guessed it!) going for a song.

I went to buy some camouflage trousers yesterday but couldn't find any.

I've been to the dentist many times so I know the drill.

Being struck by lightning is a shocking experience!

Without geometry, life is pointless.

A chicken crossing the road is truly poultry in motion.

The roundest knight at King Arthur's table was Sir Cumference. He acquired his size from far too much pi.

I went to a seafood disco last week....and pulled a mussel.

She had a photographic memory but never developed it.

Two antennas met on a roof, fell in love and got married. The ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was brilliant!

Well I hope some of you found that punny, or at least got a smile out of it. I do believe the 24th is the last of the February birthdays. Again, if I have missed someone, please let me know.

Oh Fish, I am so sorry, as I did this I thought it was the 23rd so I didn't put it up right away. That is why everyone was wishing Papa Fish a Happy Birthday. Now I am embarrassed. The one man who makes everyone's job easier and I blew it. Well at least I tried to make it funny. Am really going to have to watch my dates better, but when you get old somehow one day and night seem to run into the next one and I haven't had a date for so long, LOL that I don't seem to know a good one when I have one. Birthday Hugs to you, Papa Fish.

Grayma you do not know how shocking it is.

Dictionary.com Definitions:

> causing intense surprise, disgust, horror, etc...
> very bad
> a sudden and violent blow or impact; collision
> a sudden or violent disturbance or commotion
> a sudden or violent disturbance of the mind, emotions, or sensibilities
> the cause of such a disturbance
> Pathology. a collapse of circulatory function, caused by severe injury, blood loss, or disease, and characterized by pallor, sweating, weak pulse, and very low blood pressure
> the physiological effect produced by the passage of an electric current through the body
> to give an electric shock to
> to undergo a shock

Grayma get hit by Lightning and all these definitions fit and you are correct "Being struck by lightning is a shocking experience!" in more than one way.

And believe it or not, I have survived not one, but two lightning strikes. The cars that I was driving in each case were not so lucky. But agreed, it was shocking...

I think Deb works for Nasa and is a Gumby alien searcher... it has to be what she does based on her avatar!

Happy Birthday Deb... you joined the same year I did.

Many games, many fine times since then!

Grayma, I just wish that in 1995 "I" had the insight to buy a few hundred shares of Yahoo and sit on them for a bit... oh well. I won't get into the stocks I bought since then. Some went up and I made money, but sadly, most went south.

I also wish that when they created the first National Park in Yellowstone they would have said National Park visits would always be free to visit. My wife and I talked about going to Death Valley to see the Super Bloom and when I read that it would cost $20 to just look at wild flowers, in addition to the gas and a night stay at a motel... I said it just was not worth it. In a couple years we will turn 62... can get a lifetime pass for a national pass... making it worth it. I guess I will wait for the next super bloom. Yeah, my retirement funds I am trying to build up are already being broken into by the higher prices... I doubt I can counter this.

So goes life... all will be fine.

OK, my deepest apologies for sort of dropping the ball on the birthday wishes. I entered the hospital by ambulance on Monday, March 14th, and finally got dismissed about 7 PM on March 28th. I have been adjusting at home and have been getting set up with yet another machine to keep the old lungs working. I praise the Good Lord for the excellent care from my doctors and nurses and actually my head, well at least my brain, is clearer than it has been for almost a year. I was taken down by carbon dioxide poisoning because my lungs were not expelling the CO2, which also allowed pneumonia to settle into both lungs and I had made the mistake of doing a well check at my doctor's office on the prior Wednesday without wearing a mask. Never even thought walking into that busy doctor's office, but Influenza A was there in full force and me with no natural resistance had the full force of it by Friday, but kept plugging until Monday when I had a panic attack because I could not breathe. Enough about me and back to the Braingle Birthdays:

I do believe that my last wishes went out to Froggygg and MDCTeasers. So I will attempt to do a joint HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISH to our members whom I missed getting done. My way to doing things may have caused me to miss someone along the line, and if so and you are aware of it, please jump in and bring the birthday person to our attention. PLEASE, I HATE TO HAVE MISSED SOMEONE.

PAP3 and hammiann celebrated birthdays on March 17. On March 20, Jsimon9389 was the birthday honoree. And xXCGirlXx was the birthday girl on March 24. Again true apologies for my lacking getting these posts up at the proper time.

Maybe if I put up the notice of HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL MARCH BIRTHDAYS, it will cover my intentions. Hugs to all and I think Spring is trying to erupt. I saw some tulips trying to break out this morning along with a ruffled robin - you know all fluffed up trying to keep warm.

Snowmonster from the US whose byline reads:

" I believe in an open mind, but not so open that your brains fall out. - Arthur Hays Sulz " has been a member of Braingle since December 02, 2005. She seems to be a bit confused as to her location and occupation. I think she is where the snow flies a lot and am sure her occupation is definitely being moderator for a whole bunch of Wolf Games. After listing her birthday as April 15 I have been informed she really turned a year older on April 5th, so please Brainglers help me wish Snowy a Wonderful Happy Birthday.

Other Well Knowns Who are Celebrating Birthdays on April 5th:

Pharrell Williams, 43,

Have had trouble transferring information on this today, so of course it is now 129 AM of 4-6 so will drop the news of the day and just send this along to you Sorry I am late, but again, I had you listed on the 15th so I am still ahead of myself. But I am glad to know that you really aren't a Income Tax Day Baby. Big Birthday Hugs, my friend.

Happy Belated Birthday Snowy and don't mind Randy calling you June versus Judy. Age may be a factor with this type of problem.

To all the survivors out there, perseverance does pays off, little by little. JHS

teen_wiz, I have not forgotten your birthday as of 4/7, but an injury to my right hand makes typing a bit difficult - I will get it all worked out tomorrow and set it out so we can all wish you a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I thought I had everything gathered yesterday early, but found I was missing some things so rather than do it half-heartedly I will wait another day and do it up right. Hope you had a great day anyhow with family friends and other loved ones.
