Be Positive!
Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
John was in a melancholic state of mind. He asked his wife Jane to sit next to him and said he wanted to talk to her. Jane looked up at him, wondering what in the world was on John's mind to make him so worried and look so desolate. She held out her hand to him and smiled bravely, prompting him to go on.
John began to speak:
"Jane, there are some things you don't know about me... suffice to say I've only protected you all these years from the truth. I am an undercover agent and in grave danger. There is something you need to know and remember for me. Take this note and read it well. Memorize it even. You will know why the day you need it..."
Jane nodded bravely through her shock. She held out an uncertain hand for the note and read it. On it was written -
If I fall off a cliff, be positive.
If I am injured in the line of duty, be positive.
If I meet with a car accident, be positive.
If I am ever hospitalized, be positive.
Always remember, I love you.
And if anything happens, always remember, be positive!
What was her husband trying to tell her?

Answer
John was telling Jane that his blood group was B positive! All the incidents he mentioned were cases where he would be hurt and might require blood. He wanted her to keep a cool mind and remember his blood group immediately when it was necessary to do so.Hide Answer Show Answer
