Working from an infinite group, I extracted a finite one,
And based on this new finite group, I made one more for fun.
So now we have three groups in all, one old and infinite, two finite and new.
I hope you find this one perplexing, only to be solved by few.
So take the Given 1 and 2, and by all means take the clues,
Use your noggin, have some fun, and try to answer the Q's.
Given 1.
Sent one to ten tons of soft cotton often
Given 2.
Sent Sent Sent Sent Sent Sent Sent Sent Sent Sent
Clues:
-The finite group extracted from the infinite group was based on the value of the 'money' in Given # 2.
- The second finite group, the one 'made for fun' has something in common with a group containing 2 dozen and 1/3 of a half-dozen members.
- ALL members of the second finite group are used in Given 1 and 2.
-REMEMBER THIS: FIRST things FIRST!
-In the second finite group there is a double-double, and one triple.
Questions:
1.What are the two finite groups created?
2.Based on the clues, which word in Given #1 does not belong?
And based on this new finite group, I made one more for fun.

Questions:
1.What are the two finite groups created?
2.Based on the clues, which word in Given #1 does not belong?
Answer
1. The two finite groups created are the group of NUMBERS 1-10 (out of an infinite group of numbers), and The other finite group are the letters O,T,T,F,F,S,S,E,N,T, based on the first letter of the spelling of the group of numbers 1-10.2.Based on the clues provided, the word COTTON does not belong.
Let's see why
Solution Explained in Order of Clues:
-The finite group of NUMBERS 1-10 was based on the value of the 'money' in Given #2, which is '10 Sents' or '10 Cents' the value thus being 10.
-The second finite group, or the one 'made for fun' (created with the group 1-10 as its basis as the rhyme explains), has something in common with a group containing 26 members. Hmmmmmm?
-Since ALL of the members of the group 'made for fun' are used in Given #1 and #2 (in which only LETTERS appear), the finite group 'made for fun' is connected with none other than the group of 26 letters in the ALPHABET (English).
-FIRST things FIRST is an indication that now, using the group of Letters in the Alphabet, and based on the group of numbers 1-10, we are focusing on the FIRST of something. What can it be? (Keep reading)
-In the second finite group, the one 'made for fun' there is a double double and one triple. Now, being that this finite group has been narrowed down to an Alphabet group based on the numbers 1-10, and focusing on the FIRST of something, the group is revealed as the FIRST LETTERS OF THE SPELLING OF THE NUMBERS 1-10.
O)NE, (T)WO, (T)HREE, (F)OUR, (F)IVE, (S)IX, (S)EVEN, (E)IGHT, (N)INE, (T)EN
(O,T,T,F,F,S,S,E,N,T)
-Now, being that the word COTTON contains a C, which is not part of this created finite group, it is the word that does not belong.

Intriguing. I got the 1 - 10 part and I thought cotton because "C" is not in one, two, three, four, etc. I missed the first letter bit. I like your teasers but they are difficult.
I could use someone like you on "The OTHER side" (know what I mean)?
