This is a very old riddle, I've been telling that one since I was 8 but it's still a good classic, though it lacks the brain thinking.
that's funny right there!!!!!
ive heard many varitions on that but never with a mirror
good job
good job
hahaha never heard that it was great
I just submitted this teaser, although mine was a little wordier (Obviously, it was rejected). Kudos for you, though, for getting it on here. It is a good one, although most people I know groan upon hearing the answer.
Huh? what? ???????cute ......

How about this? If the only thing in the room was a mirrow, wouldn't everything be made of said mirror? Just break the mirror and walk out!
HAHA good teaser but if you have never heard it before its quite unlikley you would come up with that solution XDD
wow !! very interesting . i never heard anything like this !
I think thats cool! Never heard it before
would have been better spoken
cool
Head tons like this one but it's still great!

hehehe... I remember when I first told that one to my brother...
That one is pretty old, but clever. Takes quite a bit of thought.
cute but i heard it b4
It's old, but ok
i personally did not like the teaser, it made no sense to me but good job anywayz i see that many others got it! so nice job!
why can't he just smash the mirror into pieces.
if there are 6 pieces, then the 6 pieces together make a whole (hole, which he can climb out of), and the same applies if there were 777,777 shards of glass.
I bring this point up, because I, for one, HAVE actually attempted to saw a mirror in half, and it didn't work at all!

But if he broke the mirror, he'd get bad luck!
I didn't like this one. Ugh, how many times have I heard this, or a variation of this, trick?
And it isn't logical! I'd never get out of a room like that!

Unravel...there's a name for people like you...
I'll let you figure out what it is.
I'll let you figure out what it is.
good 1!
I first thought that the mirror could be used to signal up to some overhead airplane or something since there was nothing said about whether there's a ceiling or not...
but then I had to chuckle because the answer "sounds good". Can't wait to start telling people that one, because I need to lose more friends! (I actually hadn't heard it before!)

how'd you get into the room in the first place? no windows, no doors, no way out - doesn't that mean there's no way in?
otherwise you get out the way you got in!
otherwise you get out the way you got in!
I had break the mirror into shards, use one of the shards to cut your hand so it's sore, and use the saw to cut a holw in the wall blah blah blah.
A million and one variations on this.
A million and one variations on this.
very funny play on words
I'm with unraveled on this.
Brain Teasers are supposed to make you think literally, laterally and logically...but these type of teasers are moronic.

Not logical.
heh its funny i liked it nonsense though but thats why i enjoyed it
Great and complicated!
I read the riddle then thought, "Move the mirror, there's something behind it... Maybe it's your Mother-in-Law?" Then, I read the answer and was like
Even though I've heard this a bunch of times it never gets old! I LOVED this riddle!
I love that! Great job!
thats is really stupid, it dosen't make any sense when you say see what you saw, you are changing tense in the middle of the sentance if you look in the mirror you couldn't have seeen teh same thing twicde because the person you see is older every time so you wont be seeing what you saw
ha ha. i didnt get it, but clever. doubt you would make it out though. ha ha
so good one ,out of my mind
old but i thot u see a dresser
How did you get in in the first place? It is impossible to see the past so how could you see what you saw?
it is impossible to get out because the riddle says that there is no way out.
does this room have a ceiling, a floor, or any walls? you might already be out
lol, that was Lewis Carol-esque; good job on being totally goofy XD
more of a Language teaser but a good laugh
There are no walls. Walk out
I have heard and told that one all my life, lol. But the answer was wordier and there was a table. For mine, the answer was always:
You look in the mirror, you see what you see, you saw what you saw, you take the saw, cut the table in have, two halves make a whole, so you climb through the hole.
You look in the mirror, you see what you see, you saw what you saw, you take the saw, cut the table in have, two halves make a whole, so you climb through the hole.
fries are goood i never knew that you went to the back of the list but anyway a true trick it is
Love it!
but you said that there's NO way out. wouldn't this include any hole you could make?
where would this hole lead, since there's NO WAY OUT???
where would this hole lead, since there's NO WAY OUT???
i didn't like it, it didn't make any sense. and i don't likepuzzles i can't figure out!
First time i heard this teaser.. FUN!!!
where did the saw come from
that doesn't make sense. i don't like it.
This teaser makes almost no sense!
Like anyone would think of that. And yeah, the only way to get him in there would be to knock him unconcious for a month and build the house around him...

how did he get in the room if there is no way out so there is no way in.Duhh
You had fun with homonyms, didn't you?
Duleo and kataang160, they could've built the walls and floor first. Then they build the roof, but don't put it on. They drop him in using a helicopter, he survives because the helicopter is so low to the ground, and then they immediately put the roof on.
This is the stupidest riddle I've ever heard
Brilliant, but very old. I've heard that - and told that - more times than there are hairs on my head. And before you ask, I'm only 14, so no I'm not bald.
Can't you just break the mirror yourself without a saw and then put them together to create a whole?
this is boring!!! like ive heard this teaser lika million times already!!!
And then you yell down the hole, make yourself hoarse, get on the horse and ride away.
Yeah, it is a little Lewis Carroll-esque.
Yeah, it is a little Lewis Carroll-esque.
ohhhh i get it u see what you actually SAW like u see what u saw in half
This is one of those teasers that you are not going to be able to get if this is the first time you heard it. Because of that, I don't think these kinds of teasers should be on braingle, but they are really good to tell to your friends. I do like this riddle, just not on paper.
I love this riddle But if you haven't heard it, it would be really hard to solve.
Honestly it's too much of a stretch
I've heard this one waaaaaay too many times but it never gets old! Don't know if that made any sense!oh well.I don't normally make sense
I'm pretty sure you said, and I quote, "no way out". This teaser is flawed.
You can't saw a mirror in half:
1. The metal would take forever
2. The glass would shatter
In order for this teaser to work you need the table.

classic! I've known this forever!
Classic- learned when i was 8! Easy peasy!
Never heard this one before. It's great, though.
