Brain Teasers
Hunting Trauma
John was bragging about his hunting ability at the local bar. He recalled a time when he was hunting in the mountains, when he suddenly came across a panther, a mountain lion, and a puma, all at the same time. Knowing he had only one bullet, and his life hung in the balance, he took careful aim and killed all three with just one shot. Sam knows this is possible, but does not seem impressed by John's talented shot. Why not?
Answer
It was no great deal, since a panther, a mountain lion and a puma are all different names for the same animal.Hide Answer Show Answer

thats just like say he came across a (example): a panther, a panther, and a panther or a puma, a puma, and a puma... they way u said it shows that there r 3 of those animals there at the same time.. correct me if im wrong -_-
It was good but a i think it was a little too easy...I still like it though
A puma and a mountain lion and a panther are three different animals. Both panthers and pumas live in the rainforest, and a mountain lion obviously lives in the mountains. According to the binomial nomenclature system, the three felines have different species names, thus proving that they are different creatures.
In my "Little Tykes Book of Stuff" is says they are all the same animal, you can also check here http://www.sandiegozoo.org/animalbytes/t-puma.html like I did before editing this teaser
this made me laugh. I didnt know they were the same. You got me.
Puma, Mountain lion and Panther are all the same animal.(Puma concolor) Though the way the teaser what written was misleading in the sense that the auther of the puzzle made it sound as though more than one cat was present. A puma, Panther AND a Mountain lion. It could have been taken as a panther, panther and a panther or a mountain lion, mountain lion and a mountain lion and so on and so forth. The word And being the most deceitful here implied more than one not one of the same. Even though this is a "trick" teaser I found it to be poorly thought out when coming down to a logical conclusion.
Oh well enough of my ranting and raving (somthing I am known for.)

Isn't a panther a black leopard? A Cougar, Mountain Lion, and Puma are all the same but...a panther?
this will be for sure with my favorites...
good one!
I had another theory: he had a rifled shotgun.
Wow! This is an excellent teaser! I am fully satisfied in the teaser section! A+
the Trick teaser section, that is!
And, around here we call them cougars.
The poor cat, why would you shoot it. I also guessed it was the same animal, but I thought a panther was black? I know "cougar" is another name for it.
A cougar and mountain lion are the same, panthers come from a different part of the world, and pumas are smaller relatives (mountain cats).
wahoooo I actually got one (guess though) great trick, well writter - great job
gotta admit this one stooped me, great teaser!
