Brain Teasers
Beheadings
I am found in great fields.
With my kin, provide great yields.
Decapitate me with no regret.
What makes me bread is what you'll get.
Cut once again, again I implore
And you will do this thing evermore.
What have you found from me?
Give me the words above, all three.
With my kin, provide great yields.
Decapitate me with no regret.
What makes me bread is what you'll get.
Cut once again, again I implore
And you will do this thing evermore.
What have you found from me?
Give me the words above, all three.

It was witty, but I was kind of confused by the title. good teaser though
I added it to my favorites, I thought it was great.

Good teaser! when i saw the title and read the first line i was thinking it was a cemetary good job

very nice. pretty easy for me though. (but that's what makes a good riddle in my opinion)
Wheat was so obvious, I did not really look for rest of answers, looked at answer too fast, but was well written & very good one:
I too was left out wondering the wheat field thinking you were harvesting the wheat with the first beheading when you were harvesting new words and riddles. Riddle in a riddle .. very clever .. you definitely had your wheaties to write this one!
Pretty doggone good riddle...
Nice one! I figured it out on the first and last line, but I didn't understand the middle.
Oh, NOW I get it...
clever and well done
huh well i got WHEAT but then thought the rest of the riddle was just wheat. untill it asked for 3 words. darn lol
I also just thought the answer was wheat until I saw the three words part. It made my head hurt so I just looked at the answer. Great one!

Very clever, very tricky and very difficult!
'WHAT IS "WHEAT"?,ALEX.' I MEAN PHREBH. I ENJOYED THIS. QUITE EASY AND GOOD. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
I thought I had it with wheat, rye, and oats, the three most common bread grains.
What does "what have thou found from thee" mean? What have you found from yourself? Just to rhyme with three? Please!
Good one phrebh!! The extra plays on the word "wheat" was an unusual twist. Off course, one "beheads" wheat before grinding it, but I was at a loss for the other two words!! Very clever!!
Very clever wish I was
The thou and thee were a blunder. Otherwise it was ok.
Not bad at all!
It was a very good teaser... I didn't have a clue until I read the answer - then it made perfect sense (isn't that always the way?!?)
Merry Christmas everyone!
Merry Christmas everyone!
Bravo!!!! Well written!!! I guess i was close I thought it was grass???? Thanks!!!
Merry CHRISTmas!!!
Merry CHRISTmas!!!
very clever - i got wheat, but couldn't figure out the other three. Was thinking something like barley and other grasses.
Very nice.
I didn't pay attention to the title. I got wheat, then thought flour and bread...
Good riddle!!!!
Good riddle!!!!
that was confusing ....but a lot of these things are....my brain just doesnt process things very well over break..lol
Well, gee, as a poem and riddle with answer, i think it's great! As a teaser to solve, without looking at the answer, no way. Decapitate doesn't lead one to think of the first letter of a word, and I didn't know there were three answers until the end, then I just thought, there's no way I'll ever be able to understand this. Sorry, I don't wanna be mean at all. I admire it a lot, I just don't think it was solveable as a teaser, but that's just me. Thanks, nice work, and rhyming the answer was a real tour de force also!
i really liked this, definately going to faves....very nice!
Good riddle! I got it right away! It was very clever writing! Good job! Into my favs!
I think you are close and I admire the try, but heat does not make wheat into bread. Heat makes wheat into cooked wheat. The "eat" couplet works. "What have thou found from thee?" translates to "what have you found from you."
I'll thank you for pointing out the thou/thee thing , but not for your patronizing attitude.
Oh boy, that was really a great one!!!!! I did get 'wheat' right away, but then I was thinking about the decapitation process, and my mind started wandering into the 'grain' and 'chaff' back-40!!
I don't think I'd have gotten this one if I'd re-read it for a month!!! Excellent job!!
I don't think I'd have gotten this one if I'd re-read it for a month!!! Excellent job!!
Clever and enjoyable
I got the first one. Great one! THANX!
I'm not always crazy about the poem riddles ( ) but I liked this one. A lot. Specially cause it had three parts!! I only got the first one ( ), dang me, but I still thought it was great!!

Good atkins riddle. Me and any other bread loving people had it easy on this one.
excellent - I love it, thanks
I didn't read the heading, so I guess I wasn't confused by it. Read the first line, and wheat was the answer I knew it as I sit.
Your teaser was fine, please continue to write. I hope on your next one, I will have no choice but to bite!

that was awesome! really craetive! thanx!
That's so cute. I woulda never got it. Great teaser.
clever, clever
Did anyone else think that the 3 words were "barley," "yeast," and "hops?" Man, I need a beer...
the bread part was the hint, thanx for that...
Clever....
Quite clever.
Now THAT is what I call clever! And I mean, really, really clever. Can I emphasize how CLEVER that was! Might be one of my favorite riddles so far - unique in that you are actually solving more than one riddle.
Nice poem, but not much of a challenge, sorry!
