Good answer Brains. The problem never said how much you had to bend it.
Indeed Brains answer was a good one, but alas the answer given by the puzzles submitter is the one I am concerned about, and im afraid it doesn't answer the question asked.

tech, you are bending a soft noodle that was hard, so are you bending a soft noodle or a hard one???
i'm not sure, it doesn't say "bend it whilst it's hard" it says bend it INTO a curve, so the start and end product is it being hard so it does do as it says.
technically, you take a hard noodle, boil it, bend it while it's soft, then let it harden again...
therefore, you are bending a soft noodle that was formerly hard, and is now hard again.

I like this one. But I think the "let it dry" part of the answer could have been omitted.
