Oh, I made a really stupid mistake and voted for it to get accepted. It's a good teaser though.
I liked this one. Glad I got to it after the corrections.
I surprised myself by getting to the answer pretty quickly. But, I pictured it as a^2 + a*b, not the more obvious a * (a + b) as noted in the answer. That should have been the more obvious solution! Brains work in weird ways.
