Hmmm, I needed the hint on this one. I went first with Fireball. The hint steered me right.
We don't get it.
It's definitely a pictogram ... but is it a Rebus?
We found (on our search) ... 'whole ball of wax'* as an idiomatic expression .... so is this supposed to be a depiction of 'whole ball of wax'* ?
If so (as approved as a legit Rebus) then why isn't 'whole ball of wax'* the answer?
Are these submittals by Jake being reviewed by the Editors in their role as Language Judges? If not, why not?
And .... if so .... then they must surely have been asleep on this one.
*at best the phrase is thought to be a mondegreen (look it up) of 'bailiwick' or some such similar.
And ... if further research might indicate a mondegreenist (we made that up) consensus then the Editors must surely be 'dancing in their cupcakes' (we made that up, too) at the thought of being able to add ANOTHER nono-rule to the currently existing MASSIVE tableaux of Rebus-nixies.

I came up with Fireball. And I agree with LittleGreenMan - "Ball of wax" makes no sense, and "Whole ball of wax" doesn't really fit.
I think if all four letters of "BALL" were partially covered with melting and/or melted wax from candles burning on top of them, this would have been much better.
