Homographs are words with same spelling but different pronunciation (e.g. contest as in "I contest the contest results").
Homonyms are words with same spelling and pronunciation, but with more than one meaning (e.g. saw as in "I saw the saw").
For each of the following clues, find an animal homograph or homonym.
1. Low voice
2. To perform or execute (third person)
3. Plunged; dropped sharply
4. Spread seed
5. To lower quickly; to avoid something
6. To carry a load; support
7. Skin growth
8. Shrink back in fear; cower

Too good a teaser to have NO comments, so here's your first one. I definitely had to work at these, and got all but #8. While I was thinking of animals, I came up with a huge list of other homographs, homonyms, AND homophones (sound the same, spelled differently) that could be used for Animals: Part II. Great puzzle--keep 'em coming!
I missed most of them. I got only Duck, Bear and Mole.
