It could be your brother or sister
This was very easy, and it could be your brother or sister.
Key word here is "had a child" One child would make only you. Easy but a lot of fun.
The key frase "had a child" does not mean that there is only one child in the family. You could also use that frase if there is a new member to the family. A Brother or Sister like the other 2 already stated.
hey fatlington...''had A child'' the word A means singular....oooO whut now???hehe
"a" can also mean the first in a series. (www.dictionary.com) So the "a child" of the riddle could mean the oldest child, while the "you" could be one of the successive children. So, the answer could be an older brother or sister.
why not just let the answer be the answer? people are always trying to change the answer to other people's teasers. i understand that some teasers may have more than one answer, but the writer of the teaser chose a specific answer. let that be the answer and move on. this is supposed to be fun, right? or is this a competition of intelligence?
Tiffiney79 : I guess it is a competition of intelligence!
It has to be your brother or your sister. It can't be you. Who is your dad? Can he be your dad if he doesn't have a child? Look at it this way "If the only brother of your Dad's sister has never had any children...." This is impossible. In order to establish whose sister it is, you have to establish that it is your dad's sister, so you must already exist. Now this person has a child. It must be another child, hence your brother or sister.
To tiffiney79, some people may not understand the answer, or/and some people may try to prove the answer wrong. Others are more (what's the word?) and they like to see both answers.
I agree with Jimbo on this one. It cannot technically be "you" because you already exist.
