Curtail S
When you curtail a word, you remove the last letter and still have a valid word. You will be given clues for the two words, longer word first.
Example: Begin -> Heavenly body
Answer: The words are Start and Star.
1. Belonging to him -> Informal greeting
2. Accomplishes; performs -> Female deer
3. Evaluate; measure -> Donkeys
4. Royal girl -> Royal boys
5. Tree parts -> Depart
6. Unnecessary -> Sewing instruments
7. Prairies -> Undecorated
8. Alloy of copper and zinc -> Woman's undergarments

Although this one was apparently meant for the pre-teen set in difficulty, it's OK to ease up on the brain pre-coffee!
I like these! I don't care if they are easy, I think they are fun. And it is interesting to see how many words can fit these types of brain teasers! Keep them coming!

A little too easy, but still ok. Not sure I really like the "s" only to have a lot of them be plural.
