by the way "discus", is spelled this way:
"discuss"
"discuss"
Yes, Glenbo, if you were to "discuss" this teaser that is how you would spell the word, but if you were in the Olympics you might be throwing a "discus".
a bit hard, but once i got it (it took me an hour) it was great!!!
The only one I thought I solved was DISC___AGE. I thought it was Discover and Overage.
I really liked this one. BTW, Glenbo: Your spelling is fine, but your vocabulary needs some work.
Funstuff! I was able to get all but one, and now I know what winnow means! (I had to look it up of course, )
my ehart suggested to my brain to yhink! great it helps me increase my vocabulary! great job!!!
sorry its "heart"
Not terribly difficult, but a fun and stimulating exercise, nonetheless. No complaints here.
Did anyone else insert "OVER" between "DISC" and "AGE" to give "DISCOVER" and "OVERAGE"?
Very INTELLIGENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not too swift when it comes to this sort of teaser, so even after looking at the hint I still didn't get any.
Wow Glenbo... just.. well, just wow.
Nice teaser.. I got the first one in a few seconds, and the rest stumped me!
You could add "OUR" in between DISC and AGE to get Discourage, but that's not what the question was asking ^_^
Never knew kingship was a word
Heh... OVER would definitely work for that one, though..

I thought that TenThOr.. ah well.
I thought as Amberwind did. I had "over" in mind for number 2 -- it does work -- so I was surprised when I saw the answer. I don't know that I ever would have come up with "us." "Over" just sprang to mind too quickly.
Hey, what DOES winnow mean?
Dec 11, 2004
"Winnow means "to blow away (chaff) from grain."
This was hard but I had fun.
I did think of OVER for Discover and Overage.
For those wanting to know how winnowing is done, here is a link to a picture, I found on Google:

I go "or" for disc age. Disco and rage...
Ahh humbug, another repeat, but it's new to me. Got 4/5 which I consider a disappointment to myself.
Wow, I usually get these with no trouble, but these were hard. I only got one correct. Tough one, but a really good one.
Wow, that was a hard one. I didn't get any. And I thought "ten th or" haha FULL MARKS!!
i only got #1 i first thought of "dow" 4 it so it would be Window and Dowhere (not a word) thene i thought of Nowhere, but i've never heard of "Winnow" so i dismissed the idea, but i was right!

Fun, east and entertaining teaser; I got them all right away.
I got them all except the last one.
Woof! This one was tough for me. I got 2.5 of them. I'm claiming half credit for "over".
I'm really impressed with those who found this one easy. My brain isn't wired for quick language connections I guess. We all have our strengths! Kudos to you linguists!
Oh yeah. Really fun puzzle.
