good and simple...
Good one!! Very clever but I'm really stupid cause I thoguht it was coffee. Good job!!!
Awesome D^2. I thought it was rubber. I enjoy reading your teasers, so keep it up dude.
Good riddle. However, I think the answer you're going for is concrete, not cement.
I love it, and was it hard to make it rhyme? Rhyming definetly made it better.
Good one, dsquared. Very creative.
AWSOME
Doggy: yeah, it was kinda tough, but I have always enjoyed throwing rhymes and stuff together so it wasn't so bad. I hope to write a few more of these at some point - once I take a break from all the editing! ;P . Oh and thanks everyone for your thoughts.
I thought it was emotions, good twist to the answer too.
Woohoo!!! I got it right!!! :-)
VERY CLEVER D^2!!!!!

It Rhymes!
Kool Teaser!
this is very very good - your first thought is it sounds like cement, then you discount it....and that is what it is!!!! :
Good rhyme. I got the answer after reading the first line. Very easy but good teaser.
I really like the way your answered your riddle!
Good teaser. Normally it takes me a while to sovlve most teaser but not this one "2 seconds"
Great!!!!!!! I thought it was gum, though. It wuz fun 2 do
One of your best should i say ... It is so nice how you made the answer as the last word in the teaser. Good one
Thanks Rashad... and ... everyone else who's commented in here since last I visited .

An easy one, there's that radio show, and the DJ asked this riddle, hahaha, I didn't have to cheat for the first time, I answered it straight away, but it's still a cool one, keep it up.
A point of Trivia... Cement is the white powdery calcium and lime mixture. When water, aggregate (rocks) and sand are added to cement, it becomes concrete. They are not interchangable. But the riddle was still great!
I enjoyed the riddle so much, because I got it - and it's a nice rhyme too. But the answer in rhyme? Outstanding!
That was great! Like usuall I did not get it right but oh well.
That was so easy. I guessed it by the first 2 lines!
great one...scott peterson might get it!!
The riddle was incredibly easy, but I loved the rhyming answer.
Lol... yeah Tiz.. I got it after the second too.. =\
You know what??? This is a great one, seriously. Keep them coming.
nice.
all i have to say is nice on johnny
easy yet entertaining.....
it made my brain work, which doesn't happen very often...

I've been into epoxy flooring for a long time so that was my immediate answer. Then I realized no one would have that as an answer so went cement.
I liked how I guessed it... not bad. I liked how it was poetic.
I read it twice and two possilbe answers came to mind...concrete and cement so in other words this was fairly simple, but clever.
This was extremely easy but also very cute. Good rhyming!
I actually thought it was cement but didn't think I was right! I didn't know that the longer you churned it the harder it got. I thought that kept it soft .
Wow... what a busy time it's been on this teaser recently! I've been on holiday at the beach for a week. Thanks everyone for your comments. ElNino, did a DJ really read this out on radio? Woweee, this is a D^2 original, I feel honoured.
I thought I had found some new teasers in our church bulletin, only to discover that all of them came from Briangle. Isn't it nice to know our family site is clean enough for the church folks too.
Wow vlerma, from radio shows to church bulletins. I'm so chuffed... almost famous
This was easy! I loved the rhyming, especially with the answer. That was original.
Pretty easy, I have to agree with Tommy D. Other than that faux paux (sp?), good teaser.
What a shame. With all the new material, why do the publishers keep bringing back old tired riddles?
Very clever but very easy!
I agree with various others -- the true correct answer isn't cement, it's concrete.
Nice one. Very enjoyable and made me think. I did get it right, but I did have to think about it. As for it being an old one, I've never seen it before so I'm sure there are many other who hadn't seen it either. I, for one, am glad they did bring it back, I enjoyed it. Thanks for posting.
very nicely written... though i thought it was grapes, as in the process of making wine ... come on... some of you older folks should remeber that Lucille Ball episode ... otherwise, very clever teaser D^2!!!
Prety easy, but still good.
haha, i thought it was doormat... well, u walk all over it rite? lol cool teaser
Cool and easy!
I thought plaster-cast (gypsum) which basically should do the same and with a plaster cast on your leg/foot you'd actually be walking on it too
Thanks for all the comments. Old/new, it all adds to the mix doesn't it ;-) Can understand if it's been overdone though.
Sorry, this was way too easy so therefore not much fun!
It may have been easy, but it was a good one! Thanks, D2! And, "H", thanks for the message - that was very kind of you!
I also got concrete, which as it has been point out, is made up partially of cement. Not sure what they use to build where you live, but they definitely use concrete for the sidewalks here.
Didn't look at the hint until I had solved it, and really, what was the point of it? It would not have helped anyone. You can't hurt any items feelings.

Very clever! Great teaser.
Very easy But if you only readthe last 2 lines you would have thought the answer was "MAN",because most women walk all over their men.
If I can get the answer before I finish reading the riddle, as I did with this one, then it is too easy. Although I did think concrete which is the more correct answer.
Awww, poor cutebug! Women treat you badly? Unless you ARE a woman and, in that case, you should be ashamed of yourself!
very nice. I enjoyed it.
I thought it would be harder...
The "cap" threw me off, I thought glue...good teaser!
cement is not walked over . it is used with sand and water, that make concrete the finish product that is walked over.
I don't know why I was thinking tooth paste. I guess when you leave the cap off it gets harder. Anyway, I didn't have a clue.
Perhaps the title should have been "Hard Feelings".
I rarely comment on a teaser I've commented on in the past but had to laugh at doehead's comment about the answer being man.
Keep in mind Doe, "Happy Wife = Happy Life". Just let us have our way, it will go much more smoothly for you.

I had garage floor epoxy!!
I made the riddle a lot harder than it had to be. I was thinking the rubber in a shoe sole. It has to be mixed and volcanized to keep it from being a liquid, which would be strengthening it and you walk all over it while you are wearing shoes. seems like this riddle has seen time as the daily puzzle before, which is a shame since there are enough teasers on this site to not use the same one for 50 years.
Doing this for the second time (I'd have forgotten I've done it if I hadn't realised I'd voted), and I said 'dog poop' ...
I guessed concrete. Since cement is part of the mixture that turns to concrete when it is hardened, I determined that I had gotten the correct answer. Anyway, I enjoyed the teaser - nice rhyme.
Nice touch rhyming the answer too.
Easy teasy. I have no quibble with the concrete/cement distinction. I went with concrete, but did not care about the answer being cement. Nice, simple, straightforward.
Cute riddle, nice rhyming. I got the answer pretty easily with the clues. I also liked the rhyming answer.
Cement is sold by the bag.Concrete is the correct answer.
Fun, easy and entertaining teaser; I got it very quickly.
