Very good debut teaser!
I Loved it! Took me a sec, but I got it. Still smiling...
Feb 24, 2007
Extremely easy, btu good all the same. Gotta tell you, I have a lot of respect for those who make up teasers. I haven't the patience to solve teasers, nonetheless make them. (you are probably wondering, " Why the heck is e on the site. imyself don't know.)
That was fun. Nice job.
oh!! i get it someone was too lazy to pull out a dolar bills so they gave you money from a piggy bank
!!!great teaser and it only took me a couple of hours to figure it out!!

OOH! Nice rhyme! ...I liked the teaser too...
Whoops, I didn't know what the phrase was. I thought it was "a dollar is a dollar everyday," or something like that.
loved it!
Another DAY Another DOLLAR ... sheeesh ... SourDough should have got this one!
$D
$D
I didn't understand it because I'm English and we have pounds and pence.
The buck stops here!!! Weak
I thought it was great! My mind wasn't working this morning (too early I guess)... Oh well. Good job!
Great rebus, but I put: a dollar a day!!!
I got it right away. I've uttered that phrase a million times in my life time, so it came to me right away. Good teaser. Thanks for posting.
way too easy.....
Ditto, Bradon !
Good one! Thanks!
I thought it was "a dollar a day"
I got it!
This reminds me of Spongebob too. Actually, the quote is: Spongebob: "Another day, another dollar!" Squidward: "More like another nickel."
Very good.
Another day, another repeat.
I got it right away! Yay me!
Good one! I faved it!
Great rebus, but I put: a dollar a day!!!
Hi, everybody ... thanks for inviting me.
Lots to cover. Not much time.
I got a special "dispensation" to sign on if I didn't talk about the "project".
Good enough.
More shortly. I need to check on HABSIE's last comments of last night's TOTD.
Later.

(oh, ... highya HABSIE ... kinda late, aren't we?)

Good one, but I too put something different. I said Dollar Days. The first of every year, here where I live, stores have what they call "Dollar Days" and have lots of things on sale for just a dollar. Made sense to me.
See a penny, pick it up. 99 more, and you'll have a buck! Do we have to make sense here?
Absolutely NOT, FuniB ...
But you have to understand - where "playing with words" is concerned - that there are TWO kinds of "sense".
01. There's the "standard" sense of things that follows the rules of linear, step-by-step, logical, scientific, grammatical, right-brained, in-the-box thinking.
02. Then there's "rebus-type" or "pun-type" thinking that does NOT follow any of the rules stipulated in 01 above.
Type 02 thinking is "cluster" (as compared to "linear"), no "steps" (just "parts"), illogical, non-scientific (can, even, be "mystical"), no grammar or syntax rules, mostly left-brained, and throws away "the box".
All of "type 02" can be summed under the rubric of thinking by the "intuitive leap" where there are no set rules.
The problem with Braingle is that the Braingle editors attempt to apply Type 01 rules to Type 02 teasers (rebuses, puns, and some parts of other language categories here).
And it doesn't work very well. The editors fail to understand how "creativity" (in both designing some of these teasers as well as solving them) really works.
Da Vinci didn't use math or grammar rules when he looked into the turtle pond near his home and "saw" submarines, 300 YEARS before they were actually invented.

got it but wasn't sure I was right until I saw the answer.
Easy & Fun!!
Nice and easy.
BB always complains that we need more people to comment on the teasers. WELL LOOK AT HER TODAY. A WHOLE LOT OF MEANINGLESS JIBBER-JABBER , BUT NO COMMENT ON THE TEASER. NOW WHO IS NOT COMMENTING?

I am a returning member of the Braingle club and have been watching with bemusement over the past few weeks as the BB02 saga has unfolded.
When I left the site 4 years ago, I was not sure I'd come back (due to some of the same pettiness I see here) but
I have finally decided to reactivate my participation in the site and crate an account so I can comment on the goings-on.
Does anyone else find it even somewhat suspect that BB02 has sprung up out of nowhere claiming to be the son of "the original BB"?
BB02 claims his father has passed away recently, which if true, is tragic but given his (BB02) stated age (79) it seems likely his father may have died much longer ago than (the original) BB's last activity on the site (4.8 years ago).
Further, if you read BB's teasers and his comments about his own work and compare it to the style in which BB02 expresses himself, they are almost identical. I suspect they are one in the same.
Yesterday, out of nowhere a new member (calling himself BB03) has sprung up claiming to be BB02's brother. I doubt that is true either.
For a group of people who seem to think of themselves as having superior intellect, they sure lack creativity when it comes to choosing a name.
I suspect they are just a lonely old man looking for the attention he cannot get from the outside world. He has to make up stories of grandeur, of travelling the world on a "secret" mission for the military, one he is not allowed to discuss. Yet it is so disorganised, they were stuck in Tokyo for over a week. NOT Likely!
The ongoing bickering between BB02, HABS2933, Babe, and doodles amusing me. It reminds me of my grade 2 students.

And doodles, I agree that 90% of what he says is nothing more than jibber-jabber, gibberish, gobbledygook, and complete and utter nonsense!
When I read his comments I hear the voice of every adult in the Charlie Brown cartoons in my head.

That was a fun teaser.
Now on to more pressing issues.

Do I hear brass and woodwinds in the background?
I feel I have been brainwashed by this little soap opera
LOL mepapa! The saga continues! Almost as exciting as the radio serials of BB02's youth.
This story has more twists and turns than Carter's has Little Liver Pills! (another reference for BB02's benefit). He is likely the only one old enough to understand it!

Howz 'bout we let the record(s) speak for themselves.
BadBunnee (the original, my Dad) had 35 teasers approved and posted, including the most popular "graphics" one. Treat me nicely and I'll send you the list.
BadBunnee02 (myself) have had 41 teasers approved and posted, including the SHORTEST Rebus on record (in this or ANY language webbie - EVER).

Beat it, match it .... (I'll even accept "come close") ... else ....

I liked the quiz, it was fun. I thought it was a dollar a day. Oh well. As for the "ongoing soap opera", I am a fairly recent member and need a copy of Soap Opera Digest, I am lost as to the storyline.......
I also thought it was a Dollar a Day, but it was still a fun teaser.
The Soap Opera explanation is even more entertaining! Sometimes I wish I could see BB02's posts, but they've all been removed!
