Riddle
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.Riddle
Every dawn begins with me,
At dusk I'll be the first you see,
And daybreak couldn't come without
What midday centers all about.
Daisies grow from me, I'm told
And when I come, I end all cold,
But in the sun I won't be found,
Yet still, each day I'll be around.
At dusk I'll be the first you see,
And daybreak couldn't come without
What midday centers all about.
Daisies grow from me, I'm told
And when I come, I end all cold,
But in the sun I won't be found,
Yet still, each day I'll be around.

This was a great, very well written teaser. I got it right away, but it was a pleasure to read. Proud of you, Cheese. Good job.
Great one! You got me going on the 'sun idea', and when you eliminated that one I just had to click on the answer button and end my pain!

I sometimes wonder about these people that say it was too easy or that they got it right away.
It was however clever and fun!

At first I thought the answer was the planet Venus, which at dawn is called the Morning Star, and at dusk the Evening Star. Venus is also associated with daisies. But upon reflection i realized what the author of this riddle considered the correct answer be.
Great teaser! I too was thinking Venus, but then I read further and just confused myself. Kudos to the Cheese!
I was going to some esoteric place Really thought it was fun when I saw the actual answer!
BRILLIANT! Sooooooo deceptive. Love it. *favorite*

I got it! Great Riddle!
Knew it from the first line.
Fun, easy and entertaining teaser. I too got it right away - it was just too obvious from the clues.
This blew right past me. I did not look for the clever solution. I kicked myself a bit after reading the answer that I had given up without looking for alternate ways to interpret the riddle.
Clever and fun. I loved the way it was written.

I thought it was the sun lol, I sure liked this teaser
Good teaser! I liked the fact that you made it clear it wasn't the Sun. Oh, and jzburdge's comment from Dec 1, 2007 (15 years ago!) is one of the best comments I've ever read. Check it out! lol
Absolutely brilliant; I doubt I ever would have solved it, thanks for posting!
