Putting in a vote for Jayo for obvious reasons
Glad to see we've started. Will put a safety vote on kvthegreat for now, may change later.

Nice to see both games get underpay within a few hours of each other.
Not sure what we can tell by the prompt.
I didn't know you could buy pre-made meatloaf. You learn something new every day.
As for "the guy" I like his music.
Safety vote for Lawlor because he took my Jayo vote!
Maybe the dog only brings the ball back because he thinks you like throwing it.

You can get meatloaf in those frozen dinners.
Voting for HABS.

The game is afoot.
I will place a safety for mru212 for now, simply because I do not think I have played with them before and do not know much about them.
EDIT: Vote has been confirmed.

As for the memo/psych, I have no idea really. The memo is a sound of music reference right? Albeit an obvious one. Getting a female vibe from the memo so will just safety Gizzer this round.

We have a Pavillions near us (a fancier Von's... which some of you may know of, not sure if Von's go East or not)... but they have a basic over the counter buffet food items available for immediate consumption if desired. This is not restrauant food, nor fast food. Lots of pasta's, chicken, some other meats... and of course, meatloaf... cooked and ready to go. I am sure others have stores that do this too.
In any case, throwing a safety vote out there for Softball... she used my game is afoot line!
Edit... and that vote is confirmed!

I've bought macaroni ones for my nephew when he has been here and will e on his own for any length of time but don't find them to be that cheap. One macaroni dinner is $3-4. I can make an entire pan of mac and cheese (real stuff from scratch with oodles of cheese) for about 10 bucks and it is about 5 servings. But to each his own I guess. I prefer to cook and bake all my own stuff. Now that I am not working, it is not like I have anything more pressing to do all day.
I agree that the Sound of Music reference sounds like a female (I don't know many males who like musicals).

I went with froggygg on this one. I agree on the female aspect, but I don't feel I can narrow the age.
Going with scrub88 for this round.
Ive seen a lot of packaged food in the US. I do eat quite a bit too sadly. It doesnt require much effort and its quite hard to mess up for the fact that its partially cooked.

I have to agree with this too, though I have been waiting to see Damn Yankees for a while now... yeah, a musical, but sort of funny story. This is the one with Ray Walston as the Devil, and I believe Tab Hunter as the young ball player.
I browse the channel guide at times and if I see what looks like a good movie during the night or early morning, I set up the DVR to record. There have been a couple I taped and when I started to watch it, the actors break out into a song... and I go, "Really, a musical". . . . thank goodness for the delete button.
Edit... However, just because a reference was made about a musical, it does not mean the boss likes musicals or even this particular movie. I personally love to sing and play the guitar. The song referenced is probably known by all, and it actually is a nice song to test your vocal range. I have been known to sing two or three lines of this movie, beings I know it is my wife's favorite one. I offer this willingly... I am not involved in this game as the boss or rat. Main point, don't rule out the males as boss due to this... it was not like this was in response to the prompt and also not a response that said 'I love musicals'...

Oh I agree Randy, I think everyone (at least everyone "of an age" is familiar with the Sound of Music". Not sure what the reference to a 70s musician tells us if anything. I don't think this helps us at all as music tastes are hard to pin by age. When my 15 year old niece was 5-6 her favourite songs were "Cover of the Rolling Stone" and "Sylvia's Mother". . She also knew the phone number 867-5309.
I am not a big fan of Musicals though the high school I went to is known for its drama program and every year would present a musical to the public. I still knwo most of the words to the songs from "My One and Only", "West Side Story" and "JC Superstar".
For now, I am sticking with the idea of the boss being female
Maybe the dog only brings the ball back because he thinks you like throwing it.

So here I thought Von Trapped was a musician... it is the name of a movie about someone fixation about the Sound of Music.
Never heard of it before... probably never will watch it either. Looks like it has only been released in the UK, Finland and Austrailia. I've never been to these countries... though that doesn't mean you had to go there to learn about this...

I absolutely love musicals. The Phantom of the Opera is a favorite, of course. Last year, we saw Les Miserables on Broadway with band and choir and it was absolutely brilliant.
I agree with the female vibe, though we should be cautious not to focus primarily on females when in fact the boss may be a male.
I will keep my vote for now and check back in the morning.
PS. I apologize for using one of your lines, RG.

I thought "Von Trapped" was an attempt at a play on words and did not realise it was a movie of its own. The fact it was released in only a few countries should not play into it as with the internet it is possible to access movies from all over the world. I do it all the time. IN fact, I am pretty sure my computer thinks it is in Australia right now; I changed it last night and couldn't swear that I changed it back.

Changed my vote to masoni, I don't like to be in a majority this early in the game. However, unless the 3 non-voters have voted without stating so, we have the potential for mandatories.

good morning
i think the boss could be male or female
i liked the pun at the beginning about being von trapped
meatloaf the singer does to me bring the age up, has he had any new songs lately?
the gross word
at first i thought it would be younger, but no i use gross
to be honest i was thinking randy, scrubs, possibly froggers
i will go for SCRUBS for now, but i could easily go for randy, but randy is making it to easy to go for him
edit
soft i love phantom, love love love it, i just saw the movie

The 25th anniversary edition? Ramin Karimloo is a god. He was actually performing as Jean Valjean when we saw Les Miserables earlier this year.
Side-note, looks like we did not reach a solid majority, though if everyone voted the way they said they did, we should be able to clear at least one person by the end of the round. I think.

The trouble with the meatloaf reference is that a lot of people, old and young, only know him from Rocky Horror. But I suppose if they like him, they would like hard rock.
Saw the play Phantom of the Opera twice... two different Phantoms... both good.
Softball... it's ok if you used the same words I used... I don't have a patent on them!
Scrubs... I think whether you know meatloaf the man or not, the name has come up in your life at some point. I don't know him from Rocky Horror, only because I only saw that show once many years ago, and can not even remember what it was about. it was not my cup of tea.
It looks like two manatories this round...I wouldn't be surprised if a third firing doesn't take place.

I had completely forgotten he was in Rocky Horror, but then I've only ever seen te movie once about 25 years ago.
I used to own several MeatLoaf cassette tapes (yes, I am that old). but haven't listened to any of them in years.
I do like the songs "Bat out of Hells" and "Two Out of Three"
As I said, I am not a big fan of musicals, though I did enjoy "Beauty and te Beast" and saw an advert on a bus today, apparently the local theatre is presenting "Shrek, the Musical" over the holiday season. I may go see it.
Maybe the dog only brings the ball back because he thinks you like throwing it.

I never saw Rocky Horror, but Meatloaf was on Celebrity Apprentice a few years back and really got into it with Gary Busey. That was interesting to see. And the only musical I have seen live was many many years ago when I saw A funny Thing Happened on The Way to the Forum on Broadway. All the other musicals I've seen were on film. I can take them or leave them, but I must admit that I will watch The Sound of Music when it's on TV.

I still have ONE 8 track tape... back from my high school days when I had a player in my car... Jesus Christ Superstar. Not sure why I have it, I gave away the unit about 5 years ago (yeah, it still worked, I just didn't want to install it in my vehicle)... and gave my friend some 15 - 8 track tapes to go with it.
And Deb, I have a 2001 Van I use for work, and I bought it used... and it has a working cassette player as part of the radio. I still use it once in a while...problem is that I don't spend a long time driving from job A to job B.
