Take all sorrow out of life and you take away all richness, and depth, and tenderness. The capacity of sorrow belongs to our grandeur. It is the furnace that melts hearts together in love.

Sine mru and scrub both stated votes for Lawlor who himself was fired, we learn very little this round (well other than the fact lawlor is not the boss).
I would assume that the boss is somewhat of a Doctor Who fan since he linked the phrase to the show. Someone who is not a fan would be more likely to go to a translation site and only find out that it is French for "Let's Go". A fan of the show would be aware that this phrase was one of the favourites of The Tenth Doctor (David Tennant).
Not sure how this helps us ...as I have no idea who likes the show.
And yes, I am a fan of the show, but I'd have been more likely to reference Alonso than mention the show directly.
It is actually funny that this came up this round. I've just stated Series 8. Not sure what I think of this new doctor yet.

Maybe the dog only brings the ball back because he thinks you like throwing it.

I know my son is a fan of Doctor Who, at least he used to be when he was still living at home, so I'm also familiar with the show. I'm thinking that it must air in many countries, not just Europe or North America, so nothing learned from the psych answer regarding where our boss resides.
Since we really didn't learn anything from the firings, I'm going to wait to vote pending further conversation and ideas from others.

Someone who hasnt ever heard the phrase and isnt a fan of the show like me would just Google it(which is what I did) and the first reference is to Doctor Who. I actually didnt know it was French . Until I saw the post. Persay you cant conclude that he or she is a Doctor Who fan. I know a lot of my friends are Doctor Who fans, it airs almost all over the world.
i like the show (the new run anyway). My nephew got me interested in it.
No one mentions Dr. Who or sci-fi in their interests so no help there. I think I am leaning Sky again though.

I don't know what comes up when you Google it, I didn't have to, it is elementary school level French.
I just Googled several other French phrases and in none of the searches did it give me a translation - just sites written in French regarding the search terms. This furthers my belief that the boss was already familiar with the phrase, or he would have wanted it translated.
I have an inkling that Kvthegreat may be the rat. He is trying to poke holes in every theory put forth yet has offered none of his own.

Sorry HABS but I don't like Dr Who at all, and almost never watch it. Besides, the memo doesn't even indicate whether the boss is even a fan. I have never heard of that French phrase before either. I'm actually getting more of a rate vibe from you, HABS, than kvthegreat. It is you who is making a lot of assumptions.
I actually get a bit of a Harry feeling from that memo, so that's where my vote is going for now.

Doctor who is a show for teenaged girls, sheesh (Nothing against you habs )
I think we could be looking at SB here, so she has my vote. Unless, as kv said, boss just googled it since apparently it's the first result

Well I just thought it was slightly surprising to assume that the person would recognize it of being from a language. Youd have to know Allonsy was a phrase in some language and not something made up like "Ash nazg durbatulûk, ash nazg gimbatul,Ash nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul".(For those who dont know its the black speech of Mordor from Lord of the Rings). And I did try the translation thing btw. The language detection in Google Translate detects it as English and provides no translation. You have to explicitly mention French.
I think its safe to assume the boss doesnt know French if the phrase is elementary level French, though that tells us very little.
Im voting for Bobbi for the time being. Will check later again.

That's true any Canadian would immediately recognize allons since it is one of the most common tenses of aller.
Me and habs should be clear kv is far less suspicious for that astute observation

Yes, as Harry said, it is a simple form of the verb aller (to go) which is one of the first verbs you learn to conjugate (right after être (to be) and avoir (to have).
I still think the pairing is kvthegreat and sky.

HABS, I've occasionally watched it with friends and family who like it, but have never watched it by myself. Besides, you would have to have watched something at least once to know you don't like it in the first place. And Harry, I've got a vote in every round and put forward my thoughts.
Sticking with Harry vote for now, and getting a HABS/Harry pairing feeling looking at how this round is going.

That had to be the most contrived post thus far, sky. There's no way habs and I would be this obvious if we were working together.
I'll change my vote to sky for a majority's sake

I'm getting Rat vibes from Habs, her comments regarding Kv's observations seem to be an attempt to divert attention to herself and away from...who? That's what I'm trying to figure out. Could be HP, he and she both have similar ideas and forget that many of us have no French education experience and so would have no idea that allons-y is French and certainly not know what the word means. It's almost like a red herring attempt.
For now I'm going to log a vote for Jayo, but HP's protestation that they wouldn't be so obvious if they were working together could be reverse psychology and he is in fact the boss. Also, I haven't forgotten that Habs failed to include only HP when she listed non-American players last round. I really need to give this more thought, I'm starting to confuse myself. I'm wondering about SB as well. She was very active then suddenly seems to have disappeared. What's up with that?

Which I explained, HP was not among the Jayo voters so did not need to be included in the list as that was during the "the boss and rat must have voted for Jayo" line of thinking.. I was only listing those I thought had potential to be the boss.
I am sorry to inform you, but I am merely a cog in this wheel and have no vital role in the game.
It is interesting that both Sky and Bradon are now suggesting I am the rat. I still feel strongly that Sky is the boss - could that make Bobbi the rat? Not that I am worried about that - I couldn't care less about the rat (as I have said many times in the past).
But sticking with my SKY

I honestly do not mind being cleared this round, though it will waste a round and be a waste of our time. If you decide to clear me, please make sure you completely and utterly clear me so that we can move on next round. I do not want this to be like the first round --- is Jayo cleared, yet?
I can see how you would think it is me, though I would not have gotten the Doctor Who reference. I cannot call myself a "Whovian" quite yet, as I am only on series two of the new run. I loved Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor, would have loved to see him stay for at least another series.
I have never seen Napoleon Dynamite, so I did not and would not have gotten that reference, though I suppose if I were the boss I would have googled the psych and identified it as relating to Napoleon Dynamite.
I will join the up-and-coming SKY majority, simply because I know the boss is not myself and the points made against him have been well-rounded thus far.
I will return during Mandarin tomorrow morning, though there will only be two of us in class and it may be harder for me to log on. I will be on at some point during school, how about that?
EDIT: Vote is confirmed.
