Not a clue who to vpte for right now. Will place a random votr for whovian for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
The psych pretty much clears me, not sure I'd call any "reality TV" good.
Maybe the dog only brings the ball back because he thinks you like throwing it.

Random vote for Bobbi. (Bradon). Nothing to really go on yet.

I'll place a safety on bbgrl and unless things change, looks like we are going to have some mandatories, so it would probably be a good idea to think about clearing someone.

Hello all. Good to see this game's underway. Happy St. Patrick's Day! I'm glad to hear some excitement over it. I can count on me hand the amount of people wearing green. Corned Beef for me too. Yum.
I don't like reality TV either but depending on what one would consider reality TV I can't say it's all bad (if panel shows/ quiz shows are included).
A vote for Spud for being a spud on St. Paddy's Day.
Edit for added dyes.

Voting for Randy(GW4). The Boss sounds like a rather pleasant person - not unlike most murderers, according to their friends and neighbours, apparently.
Wow Roger, that colour hurts my eyes lol.
So far St. Patricks Day has been pretty quiet,at 1800 there have only been 2 charges laid. But, the lineups were still starting outside the bars around 0900 even though liquor laws prohibit sales until 1100 (except of course during Gold Medal hockey games during which the entire country changes it liquor laws).
St. Paddy's Day gets pretty wild here, especially in the Student areas.
FUNNY VIDEO of a not so funny riot here a few years ago. Even after this, and social media being used by the cops to lay 100s of charges and numerous expullsions (way to ruin your future hope it was worth it), they continue to post their parties online.. idiots!

You know what. It's funny reading all those comments every year about St. Paudraig's Day. I am Irish and this holiday just does not bode well with me. It is just another excuse to drink, which is to be expected as Irish media steriotypes will tell you. But for me it was just Tuesday.
I guess the holiday spirit just is not there for me anymore. Sorry for the small rant, now on to the game.
I read the psych question(if you could call it that) and it is a pretty generic answer, I have to agree with LogiRogi that each individual can have different perspectives on what is considered Reality TV. For me it is just shows like Big Brother, The Whalburgers and Jordi Shore where the show is based around everyday life.
I am not a fan of Reality TV. Quiz shows are not Reality TV. in my own personal opinion.
Random vote for legs. Just because I wanted to say legs.
Though if there are inactives in this round we should form a clear majority. But that is for later.
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.
Stewie out.
Just reading HABS post above, if the idiots in theory are that age then the school education is sreiously meddsed up or they don't care. Either way it' wrong. I do agree with you. Sad but true.

Safety on LR, for no reason whatsoever.
fear my cuteness.
fear my cuteness.
Our house smells so good right now... probably 30 minutes from eating. Just got home from a hard day at work trying to catch up on the reading.
I have to admit I could match the bosses comment. I like Survivor and the Amazing Race, but could care less about the Kardashians, Housewifes of any city... and tolerate the real estate flippers.
It is not like me to admit matching the bosses response, but I am not the boss this time.
I will be placing a safety on someone... right now I am leaning towards Jpost, but he looks like he may be a mandatory and definately not a prime choice as being boss. I will come back after I have a nice hot shower and time to eat my meal, then evaulate where we are on the votes!
Stewie, I understand your lack of enthusiasm... I feel that way about a lot of the "special" days we have and feel most are only there so government workers can have more days off with pay on the taxpayers and Hallmark supported the move. And I don't need a reason to drink more, and I also refuse to put green dye in my beer just to look the part!
When you Love someone, Love them with all your heart as you never know what can happen today!

Stewie, it wouldn't be so bad if they were in high school, but they are college and university students! Mostly first year students living away from home for the first time. Looking at the way they behave I can't believe the government considers them responsible enough to be able to drink. We were never that stupid. Of course most of the ringleaders were male!
On the news tonight, they were interviewing people and asking about their plans then asking "Who was St. Patrick? What is today celebrating?", not a single person knew, but it was very important they participate.
Today, is my sister's husband's birthday, which is why we used to go out (before we outgrew such things).

When you Love someone, Love them with all your heart as you never know what can happen today!
2nd post in a row, but its not related to the game anyway.
I always thought it was funny that St. Patricks Day is celebrated with lots of drinking and green beer... to honor the person who brought Christianity to Ireland. Hmmm... does seem like the point was lost somewhere.
But man, cornbeef and cabbage... so good. Mouth is still watering. We usually have it about 3 times a year... we don't need a holiday to enjoy a good meal!
And Habs, that video is such a sad thing that someone thinks it is funny. Throwing things at anyone is just so wrong and dangerous. I wish I could see a video where someone helps to overturn a car and set it on fire and you see the same person standing there and realizing it was "their" car. Too much disrespect for everyone and shows no class whatsoever.
You all enjoy your evening, I may try and come back later, but do have to get my paperwork in order for tomorrow's work schedule.

From what I've read, the feasting and drinking became popular for St. Patrick's Day because the church eased up on the restrictions of what could be eaten for lent, and for this one day, they could consume alcohol - I guess during lent, you're not suppose to. . . . If this is all wrong, please forgive me. I'm not Catholic - but anyhow, it makes sense that people would take advantage of the drinking because of the history of this holiday. And originally, it was called something else, not sure. Don't know why corned beef and cabbage is a popular meal to make for this day though. Didn't look into that one. . . .

I was at work all day and forgot it was St. Patrick's day until I saw people coming in wearing green. I have to wear black, so wouldn't have made any difference.
I'm voting for Shadows. No particular reason, just wanted to get my vote saved.
I think anyone could say that reality is a mix of good and bad. I don't watch much of it - I haven't seen Amazing Race since they took it off Sunday nights and I never really was into other shows.
It's a disease, not a punch line

I looked it up Snowy, very interesting... it is more of an American Irish dish.
In a nutshell:
Beef was not readily available in Ireland, so the dish for St Patricks day in Ireland was Bacon and Cabbage.
Upon coming to the US, they found corned beef readily and affordable... making this the dish they preferred.

Despite being 19 and living away from home and whatnot, I've never been a fan of the type of drinking that most students enjoy. Seems excessive and not much fun. Maybe it's because I don't like skimpy clothing or crowded clubs / frat houses or loud club music or "dancing" or the whole idea of drinking just to get drunk. It's much more fun to hang out with a few friends over pizza and beer, maybe watch a movie or play games. My roommates from last year liked to go out though, and they seemed to enjoy themselves - to each their own, I guess. As long as they have a good time and don't hurt anybody.
My mom used to watch Amazing Race. I personally prefer game shows and everything on the Food Network, although I haven't watched TV in forever.

I never understood the appeal as a teen, and I was such a "gody-two- shes" that i didn't even have my first drink until I was 19 and legal.
I am not a smoker, nor have I ever been, so disliked going to the clubs because the air was so thick with it that you could neither see nor breath and came home of smoke.
By the time they banned smoking in public, I was old enough to be over the going out all night thing and now prefer having a drink on occasion at home with a few friends.
My parents were both raised with serverely abusive alcoholic fathers so neither drinks at all, so we never saw it as kids, maybe that plays a role in it.
Maybe the dog only brings the ball back because he thinks you like throwing it.

Randy, it's interesting that bacon and cabbage originated in Ireland. There's many dishes today that consist of these two ingredients. I make a mean Cabbage & Noodles dish that consists of bacon, and I just ran across a great sounding Soup that has cabbage and bacon in it.
Shadows, you have a good head on your shoulders. I had my share of fun as a younger person, but I never got into the club/bar thing . . . . I've always said nothing good comes out of a bar. . . and I really feel this.
Round 1 is always a bit laid back, with not much to go on, so I hope y'all don't mind me posting a little.

Yeah Habs - what Stewie says... I saw your post and immediately rushed out to change my vote for the boss Snowy~!
Anyway, I concur also that you can join in the conversations all you want. Having off game conversations make the game more fun and hopefully brings folks into the talk more. Your soup sounds great. My wife makes a home made veggie soup that I make three trips for everytime.
I do enjoy my beer, but almost 100% at home. When away from home, unless staying overnight, I may have one or two but no more, I am the driver. And I like to always say, yes, I smoked. When I was in the 9th grade I lit up my first cigarette and smoked about 2/3rds of it before putting it out and I have been on the non-smoking wagon ever since. Found an easy way to kick the habit... I hated it.
I did update the voting list above.

It comes down to peer presure, I never bought into it. Especially in school years as a teen. I never smoked and never will but when you are young you do not care about such things, but years later the regrets start to show.
I have lost two friends to smoking related problems and it is not a good path to go down.
I saw that deleted post hydra. What are you trying to hide?

I came to check back in and saw the round was over. Well, not that the results next round won't tell you already, but if I were boss I would've been more hesitant. First time I didn't protest, though. Good job to do it while I slept.
I'm pretty square in all accounts so I don't drink. Closest I get to beer is root beer. My brother's shared some bottles occasional, but I never like it, no matter how "sweet" they are. I've never tried a liqueur, but it's probably the only way I could stomach the stuff.
Interesting story about corned beef, RGW. It does make sense. All I know about St. Patrick is that he's the patron saint of Ireland and chased the snakes out of it. Everything else has slithered off. I personally like the festivities and use the holiday as an excuse to look more into my Irish roots rather than drinking (well, maybe ginger ale). But I certainly don't fail to understand how one can be less than interested in national holidays.
Why didn't the Libertarian cross the road?

There are certain holidays that interest me and those that don't. After Easter, we have a holiday here called "Victoria Day" it is on the Monday before 24 May. IT is the "unofficial start to summer" and when all the summer places kick start their season. Seasonal trailer parks open, golf courses open and everyone gets their cottage ready for the summer and it is usually another booze fest. In Southern Ontario it is referred to as "The Two-Four" only in part due to the date of the holiday but mostly because beer is sold in cases o 24 and are also called "two fours". Apparently, you are supposed to drink a 2-4 on the 2-4.
I don't really understand the point in celebrating the birth of a Queen who died over 110 years ago. But it is an excuse to get a day off work I suppose.
Maybe the dog only brings the ball back because he thinks you like throwing it.
