Take all sorrow out of life and you take away all richness, and depth, and tenderness. The capacity of sorrow belongs to our grandeur. It is the furnace that melts hearts together in love.

I get the feel of an older boss ... even though most of that is probably copy/pasted ... idk why ... just a gut feeling. I'mma safety for Jayo for now.
Voting Bobbi for now. Am still trying to get work for today in this wasteland. Believe me, if I could fire my real boss I would without a moment of hesitation.
Why didn't the Libertarian cross the road?

I get the feeling the boss is an older American player. Leaning male. Voting Randy for now.

Safety for Whovian. Funny, I first voted for Randy but came here to post it and see that Habs beat me to it!
SMILE and people will wonder what you are up to!

Talk about funny, my intent was to vote for LR but it's not a good idea I understand to vote for the person that voted for you, so will safety for Scrub for now.
Edit, vote confirmed locked in.

Sorry guys ....

I put in a safety vote for Logical before I even came to the comments. I will leave it there beings I am alone in that vote.
I don't see how the response points to anyone, but that's just me. Someone just looked up his dream speech and posted it... then made a simple statement. I have no problem with this, but it doesn't point to an older person or a younger person... just someone who knows how to look up MLK and make a comment.
No offense, but I do not feel MLK or Cesar Chavez should have national holidays... I think there are too many as it is... but I have no problem being cleared if that is the way you wish to go.
When you Love someone, Love them with all your heart as you never know what can happen today!

The only person who gets a national holiday here is Queen Victoria.

I have to agree with RGW that it could be anyone, but my first thought was froggy, so that's my vote right now.

I agree that it could be anyone. I think I will safety vote Changhill, since there are no votes there yet.
Randy - Does Cesar Chavez have a national holiday? I know we have a state holiday for him in Colorado - 3/31.

I appreciate any reason for a day off.
I think I shall toss a vote for absy into the mix.

Only bradon182001 seems to be a reasonable choice, so she has my vote. (I just looked at their profiles. Sure wish I had more to go on.)
@RGW4, what's wrong with those holidays?

Scrub...officially no. "Senator" Obama proclaimed that he should be acknowledged on March 31st. I am surprised he hasn't fully pushed it through.
It is a state holiday here in California... I tend to work through the day without even realizing its here.
Fathead, Bradon is a she.. And what is wrong with those holidays you ask... hmm, if you are not self employed as a contractor as I am, you wouldn't realize that you have to work to get paid. Funny thing, no one just hands me a paycheck for not doing anything. So taking Holidays off means no pay. If you work for a large company, holidays are nice. I worked for a company that worked 24/7/365 days a year. Everyday had to have full shifts, so if you got tapped on the shoulder to work, you could expect extra pay on your pay check. For about 5 years I was a supervisor on salary... didn't matter if I worked or not; and because of the structure of the company, if I did work a holiday, I was entitled to a different day off... so from that stand point, I loved holidays. I hope that answers your question.
Now, when I know things are slow, such as between Thanksgiving and the New Years, I take that time to try and have a vacation, do big projects around the house or just sit back and relax. The reason is trying to hussle up work between these holidays is pretty hard, you have to sort of wait for your phone to ring.

You got paid extra on holidays? Must be nice. R doesn't. If they are working new projects it is almost guaranteed that they will be working on the holidays because they need to get in and out so the next crew can get in, if they are working on reno projects as long as the home owner agrees they go in too, and for most "smaller" holidays who wouldn't agree? They want their house back.
But he doesn't get paid extra to work those days. The company prices per job and he is paid a set hourly wage.
[qupte] "...do big projects around the house..."
Wanna come to my place? I can never get R to do anything around here. I have bee waiting for 4 months for him to retile the main bath. The tile, grout and cement are all sitting in the basement waiting for him to have the time and desire to do it, I may be waiting a while..

Yes DrHoo, I am Randy
Habs, would love to do a project for you...just bring it to me; you live in "cold" country right now. Supposed to get to 75 on Thursday, partial cloud clearing around here.

Yeah, because I can move my washroom. I wish! At least that way it would get done.

IT is not too bad today -9 C (15 F) and going up to 0 C (32F) on Monday.
As long as you dress for it, it isn't terrible. I would rather this than the gross humidity in the summer.
Sorry Dr.Hoo, I thought everyone knew Randy and RGW were the same person.

Looks like the majority is landing on me. I have absolutely no problem being cleared, so vote away - but some of you will be fired.
After an on and off rain over the weekend, it's been raining here all morning and shows no signs of letting up. That's okay though because we still really need lots more rain. Even though our temps are in to the 50's, the rain and lack of sun is making it feel so much colder. I actually love this type of weather, especially when I do not have to go out in it!
SMILE and people will wonder what you are up to!

Randy - working for the government has the opposite affect. My friend taught in Bahrain. Since the typical week in Islamic week has people working on Saturday and Sunday, my friend got time and a half for Saturday and double time for Sunday, as per government protocols. But he did not work any more than the rest of us.
I am also gald Froggygg is getting rain. That means we will soon be getting snow!
And I think I will stay on Changhill for this round.

Plenty of rain here, too. I was telling a co-worker that after several years of drought, I've forgotten what it was like to have rain several times in a week. It rained heavily on Sunday, fairly dry on Monday, rained pretty hard this morning, getting a bit of a break right now (some drizzle at most), should be dry Wed & Thurs, but then back to rain for Friday and the weekend.
Can't complain we need it.
Well, I'm all about getting people cleared early, so I'll stick my head out on the potential chopping block.

I hope the five voting for froggy know what they're doing. If they're wrong, all five are eligible for being fired.
Might I ask why you picked froggy? I figure I just might change my vote if none of you get fired or something. After all, a 5/15 plurality is still not a majority, hence not enough to fire the Boss.

None of the five who stated votes for froggy are new to the game. For me, it's a calculated risk that will tell us quite a bit.
If none of us get fired, we've got a lot to talk about. Does that mean froggy is the boss? Does that mean the boss wants us to think froggy is the boss?
If some of us get fired, then there can be discussion about who was chosen and who was kept. Is the boss or rat among the survivors?
I don't think all of us can get fired - it's a 15 player game, and I would think it would limit the boss to three choices... or maybe four. I don't actually know. But definitely not five - that would cut the field down too much in round one.

In the first round, 3 players (including those that are mandatory) can be fired. If there are 3 or more mandatory firings, the boss will not be allowed to fire anyone of his own volition.
The system will fire more than 3 if they are all mandatory (this happened in Scrub's last game when 4 people (all mandatory) were fired after the first round).
Maybe the dog only brings the ball back because he thinks you like throwing it.
