Nice, again. Like last time, the first three were doable, and then the last two I couldn't get (and never would >.
Congratulations on having the most popular teaser in the entire site.
Thanks. It will not likely last as likes and dislikes vary and as such, so do teaser ratings.
I only knew #3. That one was better then the first though.
hey fishmed! i'm proud to say i only missed number 2..the others were fairly easy..but it was fun all the same!
i actually thought it was fairly easy. i have a kind of linguistic mind that i can get things things pretty fast. i got the 'informal english weight' and then reversed it but i got 'loki' out of it... that's the only one i missed. pretty ingenious teaser.
One of my favorites.
well done * what a wife says to her newly employed husband
[good job! * job, good!]
LOL, ok so i am not so great at this!
Great fun, tho! btw, i missed 2 & 4

I was able to get them all but # 2
This was a fun one! I got 3 out of 5 right (#1, 3,&5).
This was a toughy. I kinda had some of it figured out. Very fun teaser.
LOVED IT!!!! MY FAVORITE ONE YET...WTG & THANK YOU
I liked this one. Missed the second one but the others were a cinch. Fairly easy, but fun all the same
Pretty easy, got 'em all right off the bat, but fun none the less.
funny I liked it!
I hate to be the one to raise a petty objection but I couldn't get the fourth one. A kilo is a unit of mass not weight. Newtons is the European unit of weight. Yes I know I'm a geek. It's my job I'm a physics teacher.
Ha Ha Ha! I don't get it
I didnt get it but it was fun to try.
Very clever and fun. I like it this much
very nice, and i missed all of them
I could only get the first three. No idea why I couldn't get 4 and 5 - it all looks so easy when you see the answers!
That was awesome! I loved it! I only got 1 though, the super one. ^_^ Me and my brunetteness.

Very clever but blew right past me. Once I read the answer it was plain as the nose on my face!
*sigh* i thought the european weight was pounds (which made it impossible to try and work out what the other word was!!!)
otherwise loads of fun

U HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS
hey the only way i got the answer to this was by clicking on the answer button swear to god , great teaser.
Wow...a real thinking teaser. Good Work...but only 4 out of 5.

Wow, this one was different ^^ At least from what i've seen! At first i had no clue what to do, but then I got the hang of it and finished fairly quickly! It was really fun!
I got the first one - didn't figure out the rest. Funny how when you see the answers, it is so obvious!! Thanks and keepthem coming.
Loved it!
How true, it is easy when you see the answers. I didn't get all of these, but I liked it. Good job!!
That was a good one! I already knew what a smartie you are!
Looks like I'm the only one who didn't like the clue for the last one, I just couldn't get intern out of that, but I got all the other ones! Thanks!

Now, this was a really cool teaser! So different from all the others I've seen so far, and a really fun one to try to figure out.... I only got 1,2 and 3 pretty quick, but had to look at the answers to find 4 & 5. Keep 'em coming!! I really enjoyed this kind of teaser!!
Nice one - enjoyed that! Got them all, but just had to use the thesaurus for fabulous - kept thinking of splendid even though it was obviously wrong.
WOW this one goes back to feb of 05.Does nt any one submit any fresh ones good teaser didnt even smell bad after a year Bob
GOOD JOB!!! if only...i would have got it...
I only got the first one, but it was fun!
I actually got them all! Yay! Nice one! original, makes you think. keep em coming
well, I got the first one right?!
Thanks, MrLarsonCHS, for the lesson on weight vs. mass! I had no idea.
I got the first and last ... and with more time, I may have gotten more. For "believe/leave be" I had "be-let"/"LET be." Close, but no cigar.

I certainly should have had a cup of coffee before attempting this. Great teaser!
MrLarson

Fishmed, loved it very much. Got 1 thru 3, I got kilo, bu tcouldn't figure out low-key and I kept thinking temp or temporary for a student's summer job, now if ou had said a new doctor, maybe I would have gotten intern. Don't know tho because I couldn't even get turn in. Hee, hee. Loved them all tho, Please keep them coming because it is just so much fun to let all those words rattle around up there with the hungry squirrels.
i thought this one was hard but i did get one right!!! thanks it was fun

Yay! I got them all! It was fun, nice teaser!
Another great one, Med!
Keep up the goods.
Great teaser! I had a great time solving it. In answer to the recent comment about the intern clue, med student whatever -- what if you had used Monica Lewinsky??? think that would have helped! ROFL...
seems the hard one was 2
and that one got me too
but I continued thru it
I dont know how you do it
it could take me many days
to find enough words of praise
for all the teasers you submit
and only for the fun of it
WELL DONE MASTER!

All pretty easy except #2 -- didn't get it. Fun.
Fishmed,
I thought this was really amazing. I enjoyed trying and even though I didn't get them all I still had lots of fun. Excellent teaser.
One of my favorites!!!

One of my favorites!!!
I didn't do any better than I did last year, but still had fun with it. Really good teaser.
I got 'em all. I almost gave up on the last one, though.
Totally Awesome teaser! It does make you think a little bit, but ALL the same, why shouldn't it? Thoroughly enjoyed it! Keep them coming, Fish!
Great Job! I only knew number 3, but even then I thought I was wrong
Fun but really easy, I got them all right. I got the intern one right away, and I also got the kilo/low-key one right away but I thought it was something else.
Fishmed, loved this one, but I usually love the ones you give us. I got 4 out of 5 and think that was pretty good. Thank you, and keep them coming.
Cute!!
Way fun and way different. I loved it! Never did get #2 But great teaser
Excellent!!!
very clever-got 3 out of 5. How bout some more?
I liked it... got all except kilo; grams/kilograms don't actually measure weight, they're a measure of mass.
Wow. Well written. Admittedly I didn't see the answer to the example and couldnt understand how it worked. Therefore I got 3/5 (go figure).
Pretty good...got them all but it took a long time...great teaser keep 'em coming
Liked this teaser. got all but #4and I didnot know the Eurropeon poundage , now I will never forget.Thanks. I am putting this one in my faves. It is not only a excellent learning teaser,it was fun, and it is well-written .
nice...good work
what a great teaser i got #1,#3,#5
right just couldn't get the othere. Keep your good work.
right just couldn't get the othere. Keep your good work.
I had a lot of fun with this-- got 'em all right too, but I really thought it was cute and I would've enjoyed it even if I got some wrong -- maybe I need to seek out the other Flip It(s?) and challenge myself some more!
I was also lucky that my physics-mind was completely aware of how weight and mass are often used interchangeably, because 'kilo' came to mind fairly quickly.
To add to the lesson above, I just wanted to add that when we "weigh" ourselves, our Earthly scales take our weight (in Newtons, say, which are kg*m/s^2) and essentially divide by the amount of gravity expected (9.8 m/s^2), in order to tell us our mass (in kg). If we brought our scale to the moon, where gravity is about one sixth that of earth's, the "mass" shown would be one sixth of what it really is. So yes, scales measure weight, but when the measured value is reported in kilograms, the result is actually how much mass we have.
However: "pounds" are units of force! THIS must be why there is such confusion about the difference between weight and mass! My scale shows both!!

Really enjoyed it. Only missed # 2. More of these will be great!
Missed number 2 but it was fun and well-written!
I thought I didn't get any of them, but I actually got 3 and 4 without realizing it haha! When I thought of believe I thought live be for the switch instead of leave be, and when I thought of kilo I thought of Loki as in Thor's brother instead of low key....ha, I'll also add that it's 4:30 in the morning and I couldn't sleep
Bad morning. 3/5 That's 60%. Failing in any test.Guess I flunked out.
The only one that gave me a bit of trouble was kilo / low key I was thrown by the "European weight" clue. Kilo is not European, it is metric and the metric system is used throughout the world, including Canada. I was thinking Stone for that answer. but couldn't get the second to fit with that. I worked it backward and figured it out tough.
Good teaser, really enjoyed it.
Good teaser, really enjoyed it.
I only got 2 of them - I *really* flunked out! Habs, nice explanation of the metric system - thank you! Have a great day, everyone!
I missed number 2 - Should have been able to come up with the word pursue if I had just put it aside a few minutes and come back to it, but I didn't have that much patience and had to check the answers!! Good Teaser!
Great Teaser! I only missed the first one. This is definitely one of my favourites!
Well done. I really liked it. It was harder than I thought it would be. As usual didn't get them all.
Glad you guys liked it. Thanks.
I only got the first one as I did not really understand what was expected until I looked at the answer. Okay it was a good teaser and I was just a little dense.
Finny, once again the Kilo one stumped me. Once again, I thought stone ( Though I am pretty sure that is mainly used in Britian and Australia).
Still a fun teaser.
Still a fun teaser.
Thanks. Glad you liked it.
"Kilo" is a prefix. "Kilogram" is a unit of weight.
Babe, where are you?
Babe, where are you?
That was one of the best! It was the most highly rated difficulty teaser I ever got completely. Go me! OK, sure, go author, as well. Fine. Share my glory.
Fun and entertaining teaser; It took awhile, but I got them all correct.
Glad you like it.
This is wonderful. How have I missed this one in the past? It was sufficiently challenging to be entertaining, and many of the answers made me smile or outright laugh. Terrific.
Glad you liked it.
