Language
Language brain teasers are those that involve the English language. You need to think about and manipulate words and letters.Language

Very Neat!Good Job.
Good teaser. Reminds me of Crazy Billy Bob's Travels! Good job and very clever.
Hi:
Little Brain tried hard to find the answer, but no way. The Brain diminished to a tiny bit of brain cells that were not functioning. But when I read the answer, I found out how smartly they were used. good luck, quack - quack

I had a tough time with this one, wow! I agree with Tsunami, my head hurts now. Great morning excersize for the brain. Thanks!
wow, my brain is still in summer mode, i probably could have got some of them if i thought hard enough,
very creative, but I don't think it was TOO hard (I got 4 of them)

Like others have said, this teaser is very creative and fun, and I loved it! Keep up the good work!
It was hard enough that it challenged me, but not hard enough that i couldn't get the answers or it frustrated me... i very much liked it!
Tres clever! I didn't get #4 but that's cool! I like being stumped. Great puzzle!!
I only got the first 2... didn't know dreidel letters, eschew, database languae, the bird.... in other words... I had no chance But I LOVED this teaser... the answer wasn't completely obvious, I had to really think.... Great Job!!!
these were awesum!
Very good! I got all but #3. I didn't know dreidels HAD letters.
Not a bad clue in the bunch.
Not a bad clue in the bunch.
those were very fun to try to sound out. I have to admit, I only got one completely and a few fragments of the others
IT WAS OKAY
Good teaser and i'd love to see more of these!
very enjoyable teaser and i found it hard. but i did figure out #3 with only the 1st and last clue. the rest i only got bits and pieces not enouth solve them. great geat grand wonderful teaser.
Interesting, challenging and fun, seems like a Braingle teaser to me.
that was very good!!
Brilliant teaser! Missed just a couple of clues, but was able to interpolate (wow, there's a fifty cent word) to get all of the answers! If this is an original, be proud of your work. Very fun. (2)
This was fun. Didn't get them all, but enough to keep me trying. Good teaser.
It was easy after I looked at the answers.
Yay! Yay! Yay, Yay, Yaaaaaaay!!!!!
I got them all-ll, I got them all-ll, al-lul, al-lul, I got them al-lulll!!! Weeeeeeee!
OK, but seriously, folks, I really did, but, I had one little bitty thingy: A tic is actually not an arachnid, it's an Acari, a relative of Arachnid. That almost threw me off, coz I knew it wasn't a spider, but fortunately I finally got it.
GREAT teaser, hard, fun, veery diff. and creative, just WONDERFUL, and THANKS!

...but why "Seal Eggs?"
Sure was a different sort of puzzle.
I got at least 2 of them.
Would like to see another of this kind.

Challenging test of word power, creativity, and ingenuity! Great puzzle.
that was very fun and creative! i loved it!
A uniquely challenging teaser, definitely a "Braingle qualification" for a teaser. Even this old man had to work on a couple.
Great teaser! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I got all but the last one before giving up and looking at the answers.
I have to add, I love the clever title.
Seal eggs = Sea legs
Had me stumped for a bit but after doing the teaser and getting in the groove of it, it hit me and I loved it!

This is truly a great Braingle Brain Teaser. Was very hard for me as they didn't teach phonics when I started school. I got a couple right, but after seeing the answers it was a very doable one. Super job.
I have to add that I also liked the title! It threw me off for a bit, as seals don't lay eggs! But MurfQ did an apt explanation. Thanks Shawneeo for making me look up acari vs. arachnids... Didn't know the difference, but got lucky on the answer, I guess. Had already looked for the book on South American Ornithology... Just kidding... I'm not that nerdy, but learned a few things on this Braingler! Thanks again 3-2-1!
Some were easy, some were hard, and all were fun
I got all but the Persian Gulf. I was stuck on Mew or Meow unstead of Purr!
That was SO MUCH FUN! I totally loved your teaser! way to go!
I liked it. Fun and Entertaining.
very clevr... def 1 of my faves... good job!
Oh My Gosh..I loved this! It was clever to the ultimate. I only got #3, but so wish I'd spent more tiome on it. Rhea??? Couldn't get past the crossword oldy, Emu. Great one.
I'd like to see more of these!! I could use the practice!!
Bravo! Very clever and original. I enjoyed solving it.
I enjoyed this teaser more than most. Was it hard to create? I hope to see more even though it took me about an hour tocomplete. I got confused on dreidel. I thought you meant one of the letters in that word not knowing that dreidels have words or symbols on them. I kept thinking "If you just picked a word with an 'n' in it, it could easily be Persian Gulf". Oh, well. Some of the others were easy and some were hard but all in all it was a hard teaser and very fun.Thank you. Can I have some more, please?
Got a part of #1 and the whole of #2 - blanks for the rest! Whew, these are tough teasers, but very enjoyable!
Easy and clever! Definitely a fave!!
Loved it!!! Very original and entertaining....I would love to see more of the same.
VERY CLEVER I LIKED IT!!
I loved this!!! Never before has a teaser challenged me in a way that made me want to actually struggle with it to see how far I could get!! I got three, two of them were from partially getting the clues and guessing the rest...
I found #4 first, and quickly, and only because of that I was encouraged to proceed.
I then got #5, just from having aid + ??? + tick + C.
Next was #3, purr + ??? + gulf was enough for me to get it.
I should've gotten #1 next, because I was close, I just didn't "see" and that threw me off! doh!! car + ??? + be + yin + peer?gaze?
I suppose I should've also gotten #2, but all I had was: arc + ??? + owe + leg?
Of course, seeing the answers made it obvious. Really, really good job on this one. I'd love to see more like this!!

oh oh oh -- and I really loved the title of this. I was giggling about the title before I realized how tough the actual teaser was!!
I got the first one and that was it. For number 3, I thought it was going to be the Gulf of Meow-ixco! (I have no idea what the names of the letters are on the dreidel...).
This was great fun! I'd get a few on each one and then try to see if anything I remembered from geography class (over 20 years ago) sounded similar...
I got 4 out of 5, so the brain's not dead yet.
Thanks for the fun!

Thanks for the fun!
Fun and challenging - very satisfying to have found them all while eschewing thew answers!
I ALMOST got 'em all!
And I did get "Seal Eggs."
FUN! Thanks!

FUN! Thanks!
NICE
That was great! Challenging yet doable - my brain got a nice work out.
Missed 3 and 5...didn't have a clue about either the dreidel letter and could only think of meow...too early for my brain! Great teaser!
I got a few, missed a few. All in all a great teaser, not too hard and not too easy. I really enjoyed it.
Really original, and fun! Got stuck on #3; I thought the first sound was "meow" . Five Stars!
Fun but a bit of a groaner.
It was sort of a good one, but some of the clues I never heard of so could not solve. Never heard of "Indie" or "rhea" Fun trying though
Got 4 of 5,but my brain shouldn't have to work this early in the morning.
I LOVED those!!!! I only got 2 but I gave up early! And, I got a few chuckles - thanks for posting!
I realize that this was an old comment discussion, but everything I can find suggests acari are a subclass of arachnids. Therefore it is correct to call ticks arachnids.
LOVED it! Hard enough to be challenging but not so hard to be impossible. Got them all with a bit of work.
One of the best puzzles yet...great variety of clues...got the old brain working!
Took 3 cups of coffee....but, I GOT IT!!
LOVED it! Super hard, but got them all, eventually. Adriatic took a while b/c I couldn't remember "rhea", but eventually kept thinking of all the -tic seas.
Fun, fun! I was disappointed seeing I'd done it before and still managed to miss 2, but enjoyed it nonetheless
Fun, challenging and entertaining teaser. I was able to get them all.
Fantastic! Very fun and clever. I struggled with the third (so that is how you spell dreidel!).
I could not figure out the title. What could it mean? Seal Eggs? Why? Seal Eggs?
Seal Eggs. Seal Eggs. Seal Eggs. Oh!

That was a goody!
Fun and entertaining teaser; took awhile but I got them all.
My congrats for such a brilliant concept, thank you!
It was fun & entertaining; definitely a fave, more please?
