Easy enough, but I also found other answers. I don't think the directions stated that the order of the letters stayed the same throught the puzzle. It was certainly interesting. Thanks for a good one.

Ta Da Good Teaser.
Way to think outside the box, eoyount.
Could not be better!!!
I got to wing and I kept wanting to say wings, lol. So I got lost, until I read the hint. Good teaser though.
That was fun. I got all of them except the last word.
Nice teaser, a little on the easy side, but still fun. Thanks for posting.
It was fun. I didn't need the hint for this one. That was a first for me on these. Good job.
I found it to be confusing since you made it sound like adding a letter the word had to start with IN. I finally got it after the hint and that made it easier. Some one else thought the same as me.
This puzzle could have been more clearly formulated. As it is, solvers have come up with more than one solution. Here are 2 of mine:
1) IN
2) WIN
3) WINE
4) TWINE
5) TWINGE
6) STEWING

I started with gin and quit. I like gin. I win.
easy; I also started with stewing and worked sorta backwards
Interesting puzzle, and I liked Jaycr's comment the best! LOL
Ideally, there should be just one solution for a properly designed puzzle. When solvers can find multiple solutions, they are said to have "cooked" the puzzle. Here's yet another possible solution:
1) IN
2) SIN
3) SINE
4) SWINE
5) TWINES
6) STEWING
1) IN
2) SIN
3) SINE
4) SWINE
5) TWINES
6) STEWING
Too easy, got it instantly by rearranging the given letters!
I solved it by going backwards. Giving the definition of the final word made it easy.
I didn't find it as easy as everyone else. It took me a bit to come up with "Stewing" as the final word. I used, in, sin, sine, stein, ingest, stewing. I like the given answer because the letters are not anagrammed. You are just dropping in a new letter at each step. I think that should be indicated in the instructions.
Solved it instantly, no need for a hint; then worked backwards.
