Yeah, lukasiwicz, crate and skate rhyme, and dear and gear rhyme. I think skate, pate, and karate would be good though.
Pier (jetty) and skier (one who skis) rhyme
Spike, maybe it depends on where you live, but here in the northeast, pier is one syllable rhyming with beer, and skier is two syllables. Other regional analyses would be interesting to hear. Guys?
Nice teaser. I'm thinking there is more than one way to to answer this one. Thanks for posting.
boing (bounce), doing, going
Puzzle is too ambiguous.
There are many solutions.
2.) CREWS, PEWS, SKEWS

dsit: Those aren't valid solutions. Pews and skews rhyme. So do pill, dill, and gill. The whole point is the word endings are spelled the same, but don't rhyme, as someone else already pointed out.
As for the person who asked about pronunciation of pier in other parts of the USA, in Texas pier rhymes with beer, near, dear, etc.

To MarcM1098, I forgot to say it's an interesting, enjoyable teaser. I'm not sure I'd have gotten #2 without the hint. Thanks for contributing.
I thought of coward instead of card...good teaser!
Great teaser: I came up with some that rhymed but not the answers.
I agree pier and skier don't rhyme.
I agree pier and skier don't rhyme.
I only got 2 of them, #1 & 3. No.2 stumped me. Great teaser, rhyming would have been much easier, but non-rhyming words are harder to get. Good job.
It's W plus H plus E plus R plus E, or SUM WHERE...
Good one except I got the first one right and the next two I kept rhyming. That is not the idea, but my head kept doing it.
I had the same problem as Babe.
1) CARD, FORWARD, REWARD
2) CRIMP, PIMP, SKIMP
3) BREW, DREW, GREW
2) CRIMP, PIMP, SKIMP

DSJT - they are not supposed to rhyme. You didn't read the directions.
I came up with boing, doing, going. Boing being the sound of a spring bouncing. An onomatopoeia, if you will.
labgeek, you didn't read the directions either. The suffixes are three letters, not four.
Here it is a few years later and I did them all right by not rhyming. I did need the hint on #3 though. Enjoyed this one very much
Despite the possibility of multiple answers, that was fun, thanks Marc!
However, your answers: pier & skier, do they not rhyme in the USA?

Fun and entertaining teaser; missed the second set - though two out of three is not too bad.
