Thanks for getting us going, bobbi
Welcome to the game everyone!
Here are the links from Round 0 that help you understand how the game is played.
Game Outline
Example of how the game can play out
Essentially, it is just two extra votes. First, is a team selection vote, and the second vote is a mission that the selected team votes on to succeed or fail. Everything will be explained when it comes, but feel free to ask questions.
The Rebels (Humans) want missions to succeed, and thus want to avoid allowing spies on the team. The Spies (wolves) want to sabotage the Rebels, and capture their Commander (Seer). There are certain advantages to the missions succeeding or failing, as previously explained.
Here are the team possibilities...
Here are the 3 potential groups that could be going on a mission this round. One group has all true Rebel forces, one group has at least one spy in their midst looking to sabotage the mission, and the third group is completely random! Here are the team possibilities....
Team 1
- absy
- whoviandeb
- DrHoo
- zxcvbn
- windsor_babe
Team 2
- Jayo
- Evita
- Tomatoes
- dawnrising
- The_Spider
Team 3
- rene_4142
- Coolchick
- DrHoo
- Jayo
- The_Spider
Select which team(s) you would like to approve or reject. Choose carefully. Remember: even one spy can sabotage a mission!
Feel free to ask any questions The selected team will be decided at 20 hours left in the day round.

I hope it doesn't alter the intention of the game, but there is some potential for major breakthrough. For example, if Jayo (or myself) basically any one listed in two separate groups is a wolf, we will immeadeatly know which group is the human group and thus we can clear 5 humans (this pattern could be utilized at any point in the game and placing wolves in these groups even down the road could lead to significant reduction of suspects.)
One thing to be careful of, if we pick a group and the mission succeeds, we do not know that we have gotten the human group, the wolves would be smart to vote 'success' to lead us to prematurely clear a group.
Will wait to make my 'vote'

Voting Tomato for now. Since he doesn't have a vote yet.
For teams:
1)Approve
2)Approve
3)Reject
Also, fellow humans, we need to keep note of who votes how for each team as well -- that can tell us a lot. As well as for the "winning" team succeeding or failing, (though wolves can throw a success instead to throw us off).
Excited to play this game.
EDIT: Haha just realized that Tom voted for me. I gud skim.
EDIT: Agreed @Dawn. I was hoping I'd be one too LoL

I don't really see a good reason for a wolf to ever vote to fail a mission...all it does is needlessly narrow the suspect pool. The only really possible reason is to prevent the humans from winning their reward, so they might be wise to play for one fail maximum (they really need to expect to hit the seer by the 5th anyway or its over in a more conventional sense).
I think we need to be voting (as in bullet voting) for someone not in the groups (or someone listed twice....though that is a double edged sword) as we retain the maximum possible amount of knowledge.....so for example...an MDC Teaser vote
anyway
reject
accept

That's a whole lotta strategy there, Spider.
You say we should be voting for someone not in the groups, but maybe that should also be a seer tactic, at least in the first few rounds.

Halfway through the round, still MoO
I don't think a fail would narrow the search much, odds now is we have a 1 in 5 chance of hitting a wolf, if a mission failed odds would likely be the same - though maybe the random group could have more than one wolf but no way to know for sure so at least to my mind, it wouldn't change the odds significantly

I suppose this discussion is only helping the wolves get clarity but I'd like to discuss it anyway. The real danger of a fail (provided we at least know WHICH group is elected to do the missions) is that we know that group is not the all human group, and therefore we then are one step closer to learning 5 human IDs (ie if group A produces a fail, group B or C must contain 5 humans) If the wolves push another fail (depending on the team structure going forward) it may lead to even more revelation.
I could be misunderstanding the rules/concepts, but I would say a fail is a very dangerous move for the wolves that they must consider carefully
I would also say the seer should def be choosing from some one in an assigned group, possibly someone in two groups, but I am not totally certain about that.

Sorry I forgot to vote
I think that vote will go toward Coolchick, as she has not made an appearance as of yet.
By the way, I think a success mission is even more dangerous for the wolves to allow missions to succeed, as if the seer is still alive after three successes, the wolves have a very small chance to win...

Well I'm not sure if I agree, but one thing is for sure is that the humans have a massive advantage here. If the missions succeed we have an even more powerful seer (provided he survives 3 round)..Three fails will likely leave the wolves completely exposed and being granted a 'short list' of seer candidates isn't all that helpful as by Round 4 they have probably reduced it to a short list as is.
Either way....I still prefer to shoot one of the people outside the groupings to maintain maximum possible information from the mission results.

And next round suppose you are one of the "unchosen", will you still prefer shooting one of the people outside the groupings? I'm not sure that would even be possible, I'm not sure how HP is choosing the different groups, so I could be way off base here, but arbitrarily choosing 3 players from which to shoot doesn't seem right, and not because I'm one of the "unchosen", but because at this point any one of us could be the Seer or a wolf, so what do we base our vote decision on?
Personally I believe the first round shot of an inactive is the way to go, as that person (or persons) is not helping either humans or wolves. If there are no inactives, which is what we all hope for, then your reason for voting is as valid as any.

Ftr I pointed myself and the 2 groupers as good shots *until I rehough it and realized it might backfire* so there is no favoritism at play (also the only thing keeping me from advocating this position stronger is the fact u are one of the three so u don't hAve my motivations read here) I believe game theory wise this is the best play, but for the sake of gamesmanship o could go the inactive..but what if the inactive arrives?

If the inactive arrives, and honestly I hope she does as she was shot in her last game for inactivity in an early round as well, then as I have already stated your reasoning to vote as you suggest is as valid as any in a Round 1 situation. If she still hasn't shown up by morning I'll join the majority against her. If she does show, I'll consider what you suggest.

Sorry I missed all the fun, worked a lot yesterday....looks like I have been hit by the bullet.
I don't see us picking the teams as any good.. we don't have the knowledge to assure one team has all human players, etc. If mod has to edit our choices because it doesn't fit the required deal, it could lead to assumptions, good or bad - right or wrong, of identities. Though I'm not sure what exactly is meant by we will be choosing the teams so maybe I'm just ahead of myself.
I'll help you out a bit Coolchick, but is a majority on anyone else warranted? Making things a tie sometimes works out, but sometimes doesn't from what I've observed.
Hey Harry I am assuming the humans really don't have to PM you the secret vote, do they? I mean, a human would always vote success so no point in PMing as you know who the humans are on the team. You should just ask the wolves (if there are any on the team) to PM.

No need to worry about that till next round.
And yes, Tomatoe, I'd only need to PM spies to tell me if they want to bluff or not. But the rebels are free to cause chaos too if they want

Dont think a vote change will matter much now.....unless anyone has a last minute idea...
I would suggest Evi is worth a look, as human she tends to me a little more eager to figure things out, especially when the game has special rules that make a 'strategic puzzle' out of it. I'm not looking to overemphasize round 1 activity level, but I'm putting Evi on my Round 2 watch list

There are way too many quiet people who normally are more vocal for me to get any kind of read on some. I suppose it could have something to do with 2 day rounds, but it's still strange. I am tempted to tie votes up and consider the round a bust, but I hate having the computer pick. With no other option, I'm going to keep my SPV and hope activity in general increases in future rounds.
